Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. As some unknown author said "The richest man is not he who has the most, but he who needs the least".

Being grateful allow you to start making the most of what you have. This quality is important for Intellectual and emotional wellness. Intellectual wellness is how well you are able to use resources at your disposal to learn skills and expand knowledge which being grateful allows you to do more efficiently. Emotional wellness is how well you regulate your emotions along with the ability to understand ourselves and the ability to cope with life's challenges and being grateful allows you to see the good in every situation

A Gratitude dairy is a good way to cultivate gratefulness. All is required is some method of recording and the discipline to record several things you are grateful for periodically. It could be as little as three things a week or as much as one hundred things a day
