Antidepressants help in managing the narcolepsy symptoms like hypnagogic hallucinations, and sleep paralysis. Some of the prescribed medications include imipramine, clomipramine, paroxetine, and fluoxetine.

Lifestyle Changes

Making few lifestyle changes will also help greatly in managing narcolepsy without cataplexy. Some of the lifestyles changes that you need to follow are as follows:

  • Maintaining a proper sleep schedule i.e. maintaining a proper sleep and wake up times.
  • Avoiding caffeinated drinks late in the evening and during nights.
  • When the sleep attack starts, maintain wakefulness by taking a small walk, or take prescribed wake-promoting medications.
