Pros

• Scent lasts very long but isn’t overpowering
• Doesn’t irritate freshly shaved skin

Cons

• Expensive for a body wash ($13)
• Scent is more like grapefruit, not lemon zest

Though expensive, my first observation is that a little goes a long way with this Wash.  It doesn’t take very much to lather up a Body sponge or loofah, which means you’re not using half the bottle every time you go to get squeaky clean.  Another thing I noticed is that even though the scent is called lemon zest, to me it smelled more like grapefruit.

I don’t feel like I’m layering my skin with candle wax, which is a huge personal plus for me.  The smell is very invigorating, and I do believe BBW created a proper aromatherapy blend to uplift the senses.I love how this particular wash doesn’t feel heavy.  Unlike those heavily moisturized Down soaps, this feels very light and soft.

For me, the make or break in a body wash is whether or not it irritates my skin during and after shaving.  This wash did no such thing and actually left my legs looking better than products specifically designed to reduce irritation.  What a plus!

After-shower scent duration is another critical point of mine.  Bath & Body Works is notorious for products that act the powerfully pungent punch, so I had high expectations.  I wasn’t disappointed at all, and noticed that the smell of the wash mellowed out dramatically once my skin was dry.  It smelled very floral and pleasant.  However, the scent wasn’t strong enough to interfere with something like Japanese Cherry Blossom perfume.  This is great news for those of you who like to use both a nice scented body wash AND a nice perfume.

Verdict?  I’m extremely pleased with the Energy body wash and I look forward to using it on a regular basis.
