Who does not love a multifunctional garment these days? When people are spending so much resources updating their closets throughout the seasons, it would be nice to have a piece of clothing you can wear at least 7 ways. Nothing can be more versatile than a Sarong.
Sarongs were used as women’s traditional clothing in Southeast Asia. Traditionally made with colorful, woven textiles, the sarong has long been a style staple in the East, and has found its way into mainstream fashion in western countries.
Below are 7 ways by which you can make optimal use of the versatility of this piece of clothing:
1. Maxi Skirt: Form the sarong into a large triangle. Tie the ends stylishly over to one side. This technique will give you a long slit on one side that will flatter your legs and make it look longer. Wear with a plain tank top and strappy wedges for major “oomph!”
2. Sexy, Halter Dress
Hold the sarong with both hands over to your back. Pull both ends over to the front then tie to your nape. If you prefer, twist the long ends together over your chest before tying up into a Knot on your nape.
3. Beach Overalls: Hold the sarong with both your arms across your back. Tie the ends across your chest into a stylish knot.
4. Short Skirt
Fold the sarong into a rectangle in your desired length. Let hang over to your left hip. Take both top ends and tie into a knot over your right hip. Wear with a plain top and flats for the ultimate girl-next-door summer look!
5. Assymetrical Dress: Hold the sarong where it is halved over to your left side. Bring the ends together with one half across your back and the other half across your chest. Cross both ends under your right underarm. Bring the ends over to your right shoulder. Tie into a knot.

6. Assymetrical Bow Blouse
Fold the sarong lengthwise. Wrap over to your left side. Take half across the back and the other half across your chest. Take the top corner ends and tie into a bow over your right shoulder. Take the bottom corners and tie together as well. This is a great way to go boheme. Pair with your washed jeans and accessorize with chunky earrings and thick, solid bangles.

7. Long, Sleeveless Topper: Take the sarong with both arms across your back. Take the ends then, tie the knot to your nape. Great with your jeans or short shorts and a plain tank top.
Do you want to know more good news? You can wear the sarong in so many other ways, including as scarf, belt or bag. If you can think it, you can create it. Have fun finding your own unique way to take your sarong to the next level!
