The True Commando Workout

There are a lot of navy seals and army workouts floating around. Everyone seems to know the best way to train professional soldiers. Even former soldier have put out their own programs.

These programs, of course, are a dumbed down version of what really goes in military bootcamp.

There is only one military Commando workout you need to know about: Tacfit Commando. Tacfit Commando was developed by Coach Scott Sonnon many years ago.

He used it to train top military personnel. He slowly began to open it up to firefighters, police officers, and combat athletes. Now, he has teamed up with Ryan Murdock to create a version for everyday people like you and me.

Because of the expense of the program, people have been reluctant to purchase this product. But, it is truly the only real Commando Workout out there.

The following testimonials were taken from the COMMENTS section of the TacFit Commando blog. These are not testimonials taken off the sales page.

Here is what REAL people are saying about the TacFit Commando program:

Todd Pigram February 8, 2010 at 3:11 am

Tacfit Commando is a perfect compliment to my training. I currently am starting separate 4×7 Density Cycle with Swipes, Mills and Hammer swings and see this as month 4 of that plan. Something to refresh me to prepare me for another round of density cycles. Plus I have work trips in May and October, I will save money by not taking clubs or kbs with me… Priceless!

“Why is TACFIT Commando the perfect solution to your fitness needs?”

Tacfit is perfect for my fitness needs as it allows me to train the hardest in my life in whatever location my life takes me. Tacfit finds your weak spots and targets them with the targeting precision of a military sharpshooter. With drills so tough they could cut diamonds Tacfit makes me combat ready, even if I only have to combat stress. Most importantly it allows me to set goals and make progress so that I am continually improving and seeing these measurable improvements.

Thanks

Too many exercise programs seem to be aimed at couch potatoes who probably will give up after two weeks from sheer boredom. TACFIT IS is about real fitness; just what I have been looking for.

I am in the military and i feel that the “normal ” pt program puts too much emphasis on running 2 mile straight, and not enough emphasis on sprinting and ducking , bobbing and weaving for cover, and this program seems to be a better way to excercise it would be more practical than the current pt pprogram.

I’m a commissioned officer in a Gendarmerie-type force (police force with full military status).
I’ve been involved in SpecOps in Cambodia, West Bank (Hebron), and Western Balkan (BiH, Kosovo).
I’m now mainly focused in fighting organised crime groups (OCGs) in Western Europe, sometimes going undercover.
I’ve been pumping iron for quite a few years, but because of logistic issues I’ve turned to calisthenics over ten years ago: where I’m sent to, I never have the possibility to train with technical equipment (and I have to say I don’t miss it). Tim Larkin recommended your programs to me, and that’s enough for me. Furthermore, I watched your videos and now I have no doubts that TACFIT is what I need.
The guys I fight against are tough nuts to crack. I need a tactical and physical edge on them.
Thanks, all the best.

Because I live in the real world. And in the real world when I have to lift something heavy, I dont get to sit down on a nice cushioned bench with easy grip handles. I dont get to adjust the height of my seat. In fact in all probability when I need to call on real world strength, I won’t be sitting at all, but standing, or running, or crouched into some awkward position. That’s why I need tacfit.

Why? Simple: it’s natural, versatile and flexible;
it’s not equipment-dependent, it’s not facility-dependent,
and – last but not least – it’s cheap.

I will keep this simple. After a lifetime of martial arts and fitness, over the last 10 years I have let myself get very out of shape! On December 26th 2009, I decided to get myself in the greatest shape of my life! And so far I am on the right track. I would love to use this program to reach my full potential as a martial artists and a sensei!

I would be very happy to share my progress with the public to show the affects of this program when combined with disipline and desire to be your best. I’m dedicated and ready for change and ready to be the man and sensei I always wanted to be. Thank you for your consideration…

Commando! Word that intices me like none other. Commando regimen and discipline has been my motivation ever since I remember my father telling me stories of his training days at National Cadet Corps. I havent missed an episode of HUMAN WEAPON, FIGHT QUEST, DEALIEST WEAPON,etc. Watching Commandos train everyday at 4am blows me away. Their endurance level and training for accuracy captivates me.
TACFIT Commando is a program I find to be challenging, interesting, and real world functionality builder. I cant train with the commandos now but with TACFIT I can achieve their physical attributes, stamina, and strength.

TacFit

After a back injury i started to abstain from natural movement. TacFit makes my movement fear free and more natural. The body gets to relearn what is natural, and that the pain is in my head.

Makes my body realize that pain prevention is not through motion prevention, but motion promotion.

hey guys,

I’d like to use the program to help train my partner and I for the 2010 “Death Race”, which is a crazy 24 hour limit adventure race unlike anything in the world. we stump trees, cut firewood, climb mountains with 70 lbs of gear, navigate barb wire strewn courses and navigate miles of river among others, in addition to completing mental tasks while maxed out. It has been voted the third hardest adventure race in the world. The waiver you sign for the event simply says, “You may die”. That’s it.
It was won last year by a Royal Marine and most of the top ten were Military. I placed eleventh in my first try and would love to do far better. More info here..http://www.youmaydie.com/?video=nyt2009
Bring it! Thank you.

I am 46 years old and I train mma with 20 year olds. I have to be at least as fit as those guys to keep from getting injured. The examples shown of TACFIT are the most functional bodyweight exercises I have ever seen. You obviously have analyzed movement in a combat situation and tailored exercises to strengthen specific movements common in combat. I am extremely interested in seeing the rest.

Hi Scott, I’ve done most of the exercise rituals, gyms, personal trainers, videos, etc.. They all have their pros and cons. None of them train you for real life. Sure they touch on natural movement, but not on mass motion which benefits the entire body. TACFIT utilizes mass motion to work all those little stabilizer groups as well as the big ones. I think that TACFIT could be the system that I have been missing. Please consider me for 1 of the free copies. Thanks for all you do.

TacFit Commando answers the needs & results that I have always wanted. It is a ‘take anyway, do anywhere’ type of program. This eliminates the need for any place to travel to (like a gym) or any particular equipment. Plus it will provide a superior workout tailored to my level of fitness. I have no more excuses and I really require such a program! I am truly excited about TACFIT Commando. And look forward to sharing it’s benefits with many whom I know share similar fitness needs.

Hello Scott, I was hugely impressed by the TACFIT Challenge Israeli Special Forces workout. The main benefit of this workout is that it gets rid of body fat, without compromising on strength. And if you can do so via one workout, then the programme has got to be special…With TACFIT Commando, it is possible to enhance speed, strength, conditioning and flexibility at the same time….that too, only with one’s bodyweight….. The only kind of people it is not suitable for are those looking for excuses to miss workout….It would be a great addition to my arsenal of training tools…..

I’ve seen many programs but the unique thing about tacfit is you only need your body weight in order to get the results you want, besides the exercises are totally different from the traditional ones I’m used too. I’m very interested in seeing much more of this program and looking forward to trying it out.

After weeks of researching the power of CST, I have finally jumped in and started the Intu-Flow and Flow-Fit routines. Only after a week progressing through the beginner/ intermediate stages, I have seen amazing results. I have suffered from back pain for some time, and at only 32, it has gotten in the way of reaching my physical goals, despite hours on the chiropractors table. My body is being rebuilt from the ground up and I am enjoying greater freedom of movement everyday. Tacfit will help me to take my training as far as possible, to continue to evolve and share your message with others.

Since I´m involved in several physical activities (kick boxing, muay thai, tai chi, and preparing for my first traithlon right now) I really need the kind of work out that boost my cardio in any kind of sport. The main thing here is that I need something short ( due to my busy schedule) and something that can add to my training, and not gettin me onto overtraining. Here´s where TACFIT perfectly fit and I´m really interested (above all) in the way that could help me in faster recovery times ( e.g. this is key in combat sports -between rounds- and triathlon -transitions- as well). Well, these are my reasons guys, keep on keeping on!

TACFIT Commando is the ideal workout program for me. Now that I am back in school with a significant load I have no time to get to a gym. Following school I will likely be on the go with a hectic schedule and TACFIT will be the only suitable workout program that I can take with me. TACFIT’s time-compressed and intense program, coupled with its real-world applicable exercises will help get and keep me in the shape required by today’s uncertain world. TACFIT will help me respond with ability and confidence to any uncertain situation that presents itself.

My son is about half way through Marine boot camp, and will probably be deploying to Afganistan before the year is out. As a former Marine officer, I have been looking for a training program that will help augment his own workout routines and help him remain in top physical condition before and during his combat tours in the field. I work with alot of special forces soldiers who all seem to be addicted to crossfit. I would love to shake things up a little. Okay maybe alot! I’ve always been very fit and i’m always looking for different things and the little that I have seen of this system has really caught my attention. Alot of the training conducted within the organisation although tough is generally a little behind the times. I just want myself and my mates to be the fittest they can be especially when it could mean life or death.

Tacfit Commando allows me to continue my training even when traveling. In addition, I have a son at West Point and this would be an extremely useful tool in his arsenal to prepare for and overcome the physical challenges imposed by the academy. Finally, his mother, sister, and brother would all benefit from the program, as I want them to master their own body weight and movement before piling on a lot of external weights. The varying levels of difficulty address all of these needs

Scott,
I am a fulltime police officer and a part-time firefighter who’s live just keeps getting busier (I am exactly what all the Tacfit videos say its for). Working 12 hour shifts at night doesn’t really allow for much gym time in these parts! I have a great set-up in my basement, however when I am wanting to workout, the roomate is sleeping, so slamming kettlebells around isn’t the best method! I have tried the free Tacfit workout and have already noticed improvements in just a few workouts! I started barely able to get all reps in before the minute was up, now I have about 20-25 seconds to spare. I can only imagine what the other information is and how well it will work! Looking forward to winning one of those deluxe kits! ;-)

As an aspiring MMA athlete I am always looking for something to give me the edge, something that breaks away from the run of the mill training philosophies employed by most athletes. Some important aspects for my training are strength and strength endurance (without bulk), functional strength in different planes and mental toughness. Stumbling across your challenge workout online, I was instantly pumped, nothing like the unique exercises or methodology you guys employ has been seen down here in Australia. Not only that but the tacfit method seems to cover the aspects above better than other programs I have used. I feel that the complete program would definitley give me an edge over the competition, and I’d love to win it, but if not I’ll definitely be grabbing a copy come wednesday. Cheers for the goodwork, looking forward to seeing more

TactFit is a great compliment to my strength training. Endurance has always been a problem and an area the TactFit could greatly improve. I can do these anywhere. I am not a big fan of using the treadmill and the commando exercises would give the cardio workout I need and help with burning that extra fat that keeps hanging on.

The Tacfit routines and method philosophies of training will ensure I am driven to the next level of fitness.
I am currently focused on traditional metabolic resistance training with high intensity interval cardio 7days per week and for some time my development is now only in small growth increments.
With Tacfit ; this new approach to real life functional training, which I haven’t seen before, I am sure it will allow me to burst through this seemingly fitness plateau.
Plus I really like your music.

As a part-time instructor and/or member following several kinds of interval programs with (barbells, steps, dumbbells, fitball, TRX) or without equipment (bodyweight exercises) that have been and are proven successful on my body (and my clients as long as they commit to exercising with the correct attitude) during the latest 4 years both at the gym/ home and outdoors, TACFIT Comando has new exercises and progressions that will take my training (and those who want to follow me) to another level. And, best of all, requires no equipment, can be done indoors or outdoors, and has lots of training ideas for those willing to take their physique and abilities to a higher and ripped level in less time per day.

While I still walk everywhere, my back hurts when I carry groceries. I would love to feel strong again. What impresses me most about TACFIT is the emphasis on useful fitness, not just strength for the sake of it and at the cost of mobility. I want to set an example for my child and show her that women can be strong too. Therefore, I’d love to win a copy!

Tacfit commando would be a workout system that I can take anywhere to train with and not require a gym, Being unable to afford gym membership due to unemployment, I recently discovered what can be done with bodyweight exercises and movements, after recently trying various routines I was very suprised at how challenging this could be. I’m impressed with can be done with the bodyweight and enjoy what can be acheived by using your body just by itself, this system would be an awesome challenge myself and some that I further educate and push myself to master

I’m honoured to have received this request! I’ve always wanted to be a fighter. The fluidity of movement, the coordination, the functional abilities… Sure, pumping iron all day long builds strength and fitness. But it’ll never give you the swiftness that elite commandos possess, help you master your own bodyweight, or develop faster-than-the-eye-can-see reflexes. I’m extremely hard up on cash, though, coming from a patriachal family and, being a high school student, needing to pay my own bills; I never could enlist in a martial arts gym. Then, along came your offer. Just the very thing I’ve yearned for. Could this help me make the switch from clumsy and unreactive to fighting fit? If it works, I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends and fellow fitness fanatics. As someone who continually pushes his fitness to the limits, I just can’t wait to see how your programme revolutionises my body!

This will fit in nicely with the Dr. Al Sears P.A.C.E program. You can do it at the gym or not at the gym depending on the weather and the mood. Best of all when traveling you have the means to accomplish an exercise that has fluidity of motion vs weight lifting or inflexable machines that can cause injuries. It adds to the “library” of body weight movements i.e Scott Sonnon’s other DVDs, Calithenicskingz, (check them both out on youtube) and others

I need to bring teachers to the island, which is very expensive. So I do a lot of study by DVD’s, so I can teach this to my students. I follow you a long time on youtube and also facebook. All the instructions you give are simple to teach an a lot of fun to do. Some take time to master, but my students like it!! Our island is famous for big mama’s and papa’s. But with help of your programs I see them losing weight in a fun way. I would love to proceed with the help of this structured program. So I can help people to lose weight and get a better life.

Hey there Scott, Ryan,

As a writer, my workout schedule finds me striving to train as smart and quick as possible, while still preparing adequately for other fitness interests, like marathon swimming and trekking.

Thusly, having a high intensity program like TACFIT Commando, one with zero inherent setup or travel time factors; would be a huge benefit to the daily organizational aspect of my life.

Moreover, evolving my level of mobility is an important goal for me this year and the Commando Mission Pack looks perfect to augment my current practices and help me realize the goal in a truly intelligent and challenging manner.

Cheers guys, hope this goes well for you,

As the result of following Coach Sonnon’s system my body-mind is undergoing a Renaissance. Adding TACFIT Commando to the list is bound to propel progress by a quantum leap.

Tacfit commando is perfect for my needs because as a Father of two children who works from home the time I have to invest in my fitness is very limited. I only have about 30 mins in the morning and an hour at lunch to do squeeze in a workout. Since this program is based on maximum results minimum time I can still meet all of my parental and work duties on a given day.
