Belmont Village Mourns Founding Partner and Chief Development Officer Chapman

Paul Chapman, Chief Development Officer and one of the founding partners of Houston-based owner and operator Belmont Village, died on Nov. 29 after a brief bout with cancer. He was 64 years old, according to a Dec. 1 obituary published in the Houston Chronicle.

Chapman joined Belmont Village in 1996, working closely with founder Patricia Will to help shape the company, the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) noted in an update to members sent on Nov. 30. Chapman was a member long-serving member of ASHA’s Chairman’s Circle, as well as a member of the Urban Land Institute.

“Paul will be forever remembered by all who knew him for his warm personality, playful sense of humor and, of course, his tremendous development talents,” ASHA said in its update.

Belmont Village now has grown to one of the largest senior living operators in the nation, with 25 communities as of mid-2017.
