What Is Mineralized Water And Is It Good For You?

What Is Mineralized water? Well, before we begin, we need to clarify some details… Mineralized water is more than the bubbling soda water that accumulates in the supermarket. Sure, these bottled drinks have their own list of health benefits, but we’re talking about real, natural bottled water, not the kind that can be artificially produced.

The mineralized water I am talking about reproduces the natural process that water undergoes in nature. I.e. water that flows through streams and passes over rocks to preserve essential trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, zinc and iron.

There are many water filter products that use gravity to facilitate the process of filtration and mineralization. They provide mineral water that is as natural as the water in nature.

But what is the problem?

Well mineralized water is the type of water that is artificially created by companies who simply add Minerals to water while mineral water is the type that occurs in nature.

Mineralized water and mineral water is easy to confuse so this article will help you understand the difference between the two before seeing if mineralized is any good.

What Is Mineralized Water?

Mineralized water is essentially filtered water enriched with a variety of vitamins and minerals. The specific supplementary nutrients are selected by the company and therefore differ from one brand to another.

Mineral water is not the same as mineralized water. This is because the mineralized water is synthetic, i.e. man-made, not from natural sources. Therefore, be sure to always read the label as some bottling companies are not always clear.
