Guide for keeping Beef, Chicken and Salmon

If you’re not a vegetarian and you are Meal Prepping, you are probably relying on 3 meat proteins: beef, chicken and salmon. They are certainly the most economical options and are able to be cooked a variety of ways. The other benefit is, they are super easy to store and can be stored for extended amounts of time, even cooked!

Beef
Beef is such a versatile meat, with so many different cuts available for whatever you want to make. Raw beef in a fridge will last 3-5 days, but you can freeze raw beef and it will get you 6-12 months! Beef cooked is good for 3-4 days in the fridge. Cooked beef is good for 2-6 months in the freezer.

Chicken
Chicken is the ultimate body building and meal prepping meat. There is no comparison in terms of protein per dollar, chicken is the winner! Raw chicken is good for 1-2 days in the fridge but if you freeze it you’ll get 9 months. Cooked chicken is good for 3-4 days in the fridge but freeze it and you’ll get 2-6 months.

Salmon
Salmon is the ultimate fish meat for body building and meal prepping because of its availability, and cost per gram of protein versus other fish options. Raw salmon is good for 1-2 days in the fridge, but if you freeze it you’ll get 6-8 months. Cooked salmon is good for 3-4 days in the fridge, but if you freeze it you’ll get 2-6 months.

There you have it, get meal prepping!
