What is Earthing/Grounding?

Earthing/Grounding is the process of absorbing the earth’s free flowing electrons through the feet or Body.

The Earth is like a gigantic battery that contains a natural, subtle electrical charge. A special kind of Energy present in the ground. For safety and stability, almost everything in the electrical world is connected to it.

Similarly, humans need a direct connect to the earth. As, when we are in direct contact with the ground (walking, sitting, or laying down on the earth’s surface); the earth’s electrons are conducted to your body. Thus, improving the health and prana levels of the body.

Also, grounding or earthing protects the body from EMFs (Electromagnetic field like WiFi, cell phones, etc).

6 ways of Grounding or Earthing

1) Walk Barefoot

Increasingly, we see people running barefoot. Yoga, tai-chi is practiced barefoot. The simple way to ground yourself is a walk barefoot on natural surface or conductive surface.

2) Spend time in Nature

Go to beach, mountain, garden or hills. Just being in midst of nature increases our connection to the earth’s energy. Also we are away from technology (free radicals) and pollution. Thus, earthing the body is easier.

3) Gardening

Gardening is a great hobby and free therapy. Rock, soil, plants and water are a great way to ground the body and mind.

4) Go for a Swim

Research shows that water may be used like the physical earth for grounding. Simply take a dip or swim in a clear lake or ocean to ground yourself.

5) Earthing Visualization

Visualization is a powerful tool that brings great healing to the mind. Visualize yourself as a tree or mountain connected to the earth, as you become a wellspring of light and energy.

6) Meditation

Practicing meditation helps in neutralizing the positive electrons in the body. As, meditation boosts a series of chemical reactions in the body.

The more time we spend connecting directly with the Earth. The more our bodies will be infused by her life-force giving and balancing energy. In fact, earthing is being used in Holistic healing and Naturopathy.
