Former Arizona High School Football Star Dead of Overdose

Another athlete’s life cut short by opioids

It’s a recurring theme all across the country. A young athlete experiences an injury, and is prescribed opioids during their recovery. Then they are prescribed more opioids, and when the prescription runs out, they turn to the streets for heroin.

Unfortunately, we also know how this story ends… Brock Harman was a highly recruited standout from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale.

He signed with the University of Arkansas Razorbacks as a linebacker in 2011, but redshirted his freshman season because of injury.

He transferred to Arizona State University with the intention of playing for the Sun Devils, but never saw game action. In fact, he was with the program for less than a month, according to an ASU athletic department spokesman.
