Queen Helene Grape Seed Extract Masque Review

This deviates from what you’re probably used to already.  I wanted to throw a seemingly cheap facial product into the mix just to show you that there are other great formulas out there besides expensive fancy brands.

I started using this stuff only because I loved peeling it off my Face.  I was one of those weird kids who intentionally poured Elmers glue on my fingers and waited for it to dry, creating sticky fingerprint flakes.  When one of my friends recommended this Mask to me and told me it had the same effect, I was so there I was square.

By no means is this grape seed mask organic, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.  This is the first mask I used where you can actually pull it off your face, which makes me think of literally pulling gunk out of your pores.  This seems far more effective at combating facial impurities instead of smearing cream around with a wet face cloth or your bare fingers.

In its raw form, the mask has a very thick and gel like consistency.  It’s recommended that you use copious amounts of the mask on your face to ensure adequate coverage, but this can be troublesome because it has a tendency to dry rather quickly once it’s on your face.  I learned to focus on one area of my face at a time instead of smearing a thin layer all over the place..  Once on, you can definitely feel it working.  It feels very cold at first, then burns a little as it dries and tightens.

Removing the mask is probably more fun than it should be.  I’ve never been able to pull it off only once, but I’ve come pretty darn close.  The mask doesn’t leave any nasty residues, which is a big plus.  I’ve found that it dries everywhere except the sides of my nose.  Using a bit of my Tea Tree toner from The Body Shop ensures that all areas of my face are clean once the mask is removed.

You can find this mask anywhere other facial products are sold.  Even your local dollar store.  This is one of those diamond in the rough items, and it’s one you definitely wouldn’t regret purchasing.

Check it out at Drugstore.com or your local store!
