Ask JB – Too Many Things To Do!
“Some days, 24 hours is too much to stay put in, so I take the day hour by hour, moment by moment. I break the task, the challenge, the fear into small, bite-size pieces. I can handle a piece of fear, depression, anger, pain, sadness, loneliness, illness. I actually put my hands up to my face, one next to each eye, like blinders on a horse.” – Regina Brett
We have to pause and slow things down. There are so many opportunities around us that we end up having all these Expectations for ourselves to be a part of all we can and accomplish as much as we can. Eventually it may start to be too much.
At this point we have to go back and set our expectations. We have to recognize what we really want and what we expect to happen. Then we need to set Priorities.
What are the main things you need to accomplish? Having priorities are critical to manifesting expectations. Remember that everyone will be unique in their priorities. It can be easy to judge others or want to build in your own life what others have. Your expectations should be for your own personal growth. What is really important? What is going to make a difference in your life?
One Thing At A Time
Based on your established list of priorities what things now come first in your daily life? You need to take time to focus on your priorities every morning. Keeping focused on your priorities in a busy life takes a daily routine of refocusing.
Without reminders it can be easy to have non-important things begin to take over again. This is where the sacred six process becomes handy. It teaches you to ask, “What is important today and what can I do about it?”
Ask For Help
A critical part of keeping your established expectations can be to ask for help. In order to reduce frustration, you are going to need to seek someone else’s knowledge sometimes. When you ask for help from others you don’t have to get slowed down trying to teach yourself.
You can gain a skill that you can then pay forward as well. When you have too many things going on and are getting frustrated that is the time to search for help from the right people. Sometimes it can be hard to be vulnerable and let someone into your life. At the end of the day, do you want to be frustrated or do you want to borrow their knowledge so that you can move faster?
Get the right people in your life, and you’ll accelerate your learning.
At Morningcoach we are value for value people. With the help that you are given remember to pay it forward. If you are given help for free, give it for free. If you are given knowledge for pay, give the knowledge you’ve learned for pay. What ever you get value from, give value back to.
Be thankful for every day. Even if your goals have not come to fruition, you need to believe that they will. Otherwise your doubt will prevent those things from manifesting. You are such a powerful creator, that if you say “that will never happen”, then you’ll be right!
You’ve got to be consistent and you’ve got to keep your mind right. Otherwise you will revert to old thought habits and get the same results that you got in the past. In order to change we have to break those mental patterns that have been established over the years and do things different.
Focus on a feeling of positive anticipation. “I wonder what will happen today to take me closer to that goal?” You’ll begin to shift your mindset little by little to a new pattern. An attitude of patient anticipation and gratitude for the journey of life will work wonders.
When we can slow down, establish our priorities, do one thing at a time, ask for and give help, develop patience, and cultivate an attitude of expectation then we reduce stress and increase our enjoyment of each day.
