Original name of “Cake”

The term “cake” has a long history and has seen long journey. It is deived from the old Norse word called “kaka”.

The ancient Greeks used to call cake πλακοῦς (plakous). It was derived from the word “flat”, πλακόεις (plakoeis) which was baked by using flour and mixed with ingredients like milk, honey, nuts and eggs.
