Deepti Sharma was born on 24 August 1997 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh state of India. His father’s name is Bhagwan Sharma who is a retired Railway employee.
Her mother’s name is Sushila Sharma. His mother is the headmaster of a primary school. Deepti is the youngest among her siblings.
Deepti Sharma in Cricket
Deepti Sharma was interested in cricket since very beginning and started it at the age of 9 only. Deepti was initially coached in cricket by her own brother who was a former fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh.
His brother used to go to the Eklavya Stadium in Agra for daily practice, it is a matter of year 2007 that Deepti was 9 years old at that time. At just the age of 9 only she made up her mind to go to the stadium with his brother for practice.
Deepti Sharma International Cricket Career
Deepti started her international one-day cricket career in the year 2014 against South Africa in Bengaluru. She made her Test debut against England on 16 June 2021.
Deepti made a world record by sharing an opening partnership of 320 runs with Poonam Raut in which she contributed 188 runs.
She achieved this feat breaking the record of 229 runs opening partnership of England’s Sarah Taylor and Caroline Atkins.
