45 Videos on Radar by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed YouTube to remove 45 videos from its platform. These videos are from ten different channels. One of the blocked videos is also of popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathi.
Reason behind removing 45 YouTube videos
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, had directed YouTube to remove 45 videos from its platform. These videos were from ten different channels.
The ministry claims that in these videos, fake news was spread with the intention of spreading hatred among communities. ‘False claims’ were made and, in these videos, there was also a video of Dhruv Rathi. Watch video.
Dhruv Rathi disputed Video on Pakistan
It was a five months old video when the Imran Khan’s government lost power. On 26 September, 12:14pm Dhruv Rathi got an Email from YouTube that google has got a legal complaint against his 5 months video, referring to not using the official map of India
Dhruv told to Lallantop.com in an interview that after getting email, he looked into the video nothing found anything wrong.
He and his team has always been very cautious related to using official map of India. When for this particular video also he needed a map, he had told his team to grey out that section of POK which was showing in the Pakistan.
But the complaint email from Google, he had got the request to edit the Indian map he had used. But according to him it was already blacked out and they were following the rules.
So, Dhruv told he reverted back to the email asking which portion of the map they are referring to as according to him nothing was wrong. To this he got an email that the issue is for a duration of 4 seconds only where the video is showing elections in Pakistan and POK is showing as a part of Pakistan.
Dhruv understood that this could be an issue so his team again greyed out that and edited the video, and uploaded. Google had written that he had to edit the video, so he had done that.
But after 2 days he got another email that Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as issued an order to block the video and not to run it on internet. This is why one cannot find it on internet.
