Can I work out with butt implants?

Are you unhappy with the appearance of your rear end? Do you think that a bigger Butt will make you more alluring and sexier? If this is the case, then you certainly need to schedule an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon to have your candidacy assessed for butt augmentation.

There are two methods that can be used for butt augmentation purposes: implants and fat transfer. Both procedures are efficient and can deliver impressive results when performed by a board-certified, experienced plastic surgeon; however, your anatomical characteristics, as well as your aesthetic expectations, will be used to determine what procedure is more suitable for your particular case.

Patients who are interested in undergoing fat transfer are a bit concerned about what will happen when they start working out after getting the fat cells grafted into their buttocks. Intensive workout routines involving the muscles of the buttocks and lower part of the body can lead to the burning of fat. This means that if you are a gym enthusiast, chances are that butt lipofilling is not for you. Moreover, people who are committed to an active lifestyle with plenty of physical exercises are rarely good candidates for fat transfer as they rarely have enough excess fat in other areas of the body to be eligible for the procedure.

This means that butt implant surgery is often the only real choice for people who exercise routinely. So, can you work out with butt implants? This is a very good question, and it is important for patients to know exactly what to expect before undergoing a procedure so complex and delicate as butt implant surgery.

Before anything else, you should know that butt implants are inserted either inside the gluteal muscles or under the gluteal muscles. This means that the initial part of the recovery period can be a little more painful as the muscles need to heal. Any lower body movements in the first days post-op can trigger a certain level of pain and discomfort; however, it is important for patients to get off the bed and walk around for a few minutes every couple of hours.

This also means that it can take some time before getting the green light from the plastic surgeon that will allow you to resume physical exercise. For most patients, it can take up to six or eight weeks before they are ready to resume their workouts again, and the recommendation is to take it slowly and gradually. They will notice that working out with butt implants is possible, even when it comes to squats and lounges, so there is nothing to be worried about.
