Let it be any festival or any event, the first outfit that comes to my mind is a Lehenga Saree. That’s how royal and beautiful it looks. I cannot think of any girl who would say NO to a Lehenga saree. Even the girls who are always in their PJs would dream of wearing a lehenga saree on their wedding day. Why? Because it makes us feel special. Anything that can make us feel special is special by itself.

But wearing a lehenga saree in just one way can get it monotonous, so if you want to add a bit of twist to your lehenga saree, here’s my guide to Indian fashion, wearing a lehenga saree in 5 classy styles.

The way you wear the dupatta changes the whole story. It decides the vibe you exude, so do not underestimate a dupatta.

Here are a few of my favorites.

You can wear a dupatta either to your neck or on your shoulder. It’s classy no matter how many times you do it. 

Or wear it from your behind on to your arms. Like this.

If not, maybe you can wear it over your shoulders simply like this.

Else, drop it down smoothly from your neck.

You can go so many ways with your dupatta. Depending on your comfort and likes, choose your style and you are good to go.

2. Kimono style

This style needs a bit of work on the designer end but you can also transform a normal dupatta into a kimono just like in this no-sew, no-hassle DIY.

Another quick inspiration is that there are so many ways to tie a scarf/dupatta on the internet, so you may even try a few other styles on your lehenga saree if you are in the mood for something hatke.

3. Indian Princess style

And of course, there’s this Indian princess style which you cannot get enough of. I mean, look at how beautiful it looks. Absolutely stunning!

4. Puffed sleeves

When we are buying a lehenga saree, we always look at the color and the embroidery work. But we often overlook the sleeves model. Next time when you are out shopping, try looking for a lehenga saree with a bit more flair to it, like puffed sleeves. It is so very classy.

5. The classic south Indian style

Of course, I have to add the classic south Indian drape as well. Because you know the authentic never goes out of style. In the south, lehenga sarees (which we call a half-saree) come in more traditional styles. It is super classy and super Indian. You gotta try this if you haven’t already.
