With the global pandemic, there’ll be a lot of changes to the Coding and rules in Evaluation and Monitoring (E/M). However, it’ll be limited to new and existing outpatient visits (CPT codes 99202-99205, 99211-99215) that will take effect on the 1st of January 2021. Changes to the current and defined office/outpatient codes will surely impact everyone in healthcare, especially doctors, coders, healthcare staff, and billers.
