5 Reasons You Need EmSculpt in 2020

If there’s one thing we can all relate to this year, it’s that 2020 has been rough. In a time of irregular stress and frustration, physical health and fitness is more important than ever. But our physical health is more than just appearing healthy and fit. For example, did you know that your abs help you flex your spinal column, and bending motions help your body stabilize your trunk when moving your arms, legs, and head? Your core functions as an important part of your body, providing strength behind many of your movements. So making sure your abs are in great shape should always be the goal, and looking great as a result is an added bonus.

Our bodies can already perform at a high-functioning rate of efficiency when working at their very best, and we’re able to complete difficult and strenuous tasks through diligent diet and exercise routines. But individuals looking to reduce body fat, increase Muscle mass and tone, or focus on a specific problem area often require a strict plan in place to eat differently and commit to regular physical exercise. These small changes can take a dramatic toll on a person’s shape, tone, and overall muscle condition, but sometimes it doesn’t get you 100% of the way there.

There are some natural factors that occur in the body that make even the most strenuous workout ineffective against the accumulation of fat cells in particularly stubborn areas, such as the abdomen, arms, thighs, and buttocks. While both men and women are prone to struggling with these fat deposit build-ups, women, in particular, are susceptible to the natural separation (either partially or completely separated) of the muscles that typically make up a “six-pack”. Pregnancy and childbirth are the leading cause of this condition, known as Diastasis Recti. Conditions like this require something more than crunches and sit-ups, and often leave a pouch-like appearance in the lower abdomen.

Regardless of what brought you here, it’s not uncommon to have stubborn problem areas that need a little bit mor attention to get you to your goal. In instances where an individual is looking to reduce fat cells and tone up muscle, and diet and exercise prove ineffective, Emsculpt may be the answer.

And as we move into the last quarter of the year, why not close 2020 with a stronger version of yourself than you started with in January? With EmSculpt, it could be more attainable than you think, and we know there are at least 5 reasons you need it now!

1- 20,000 crunches in 30 minutes.

That’s not a drill! EmSculpt is an FDA-approved technique that mimics your body’s own movements, forcing muscles in the targeted area to contract, just as they would by doing crunches, sit-ups, or squats. The EmSculpt machine uses electromagnetic waves, also known as HIFEM – High Intensity, Focused Electro-Magnetic energy. This energy is focused on the targeted treatment area to force your muscles to contract rapidly for about half an hour and allows your body to experience the results as if you did 20,000 crunches on your own. Over the course of several sessions, EmSculpt provides visible results that include increased abdominal muscle definition, less lower belly fat, and a more defined waistline. You might not get the bragging rights of completing 20,000 crunches on your own, but at least you’ll get the muscle tone! And you can apply this same logic to other areas besides your abdomen; EmSculpt can treat the buttocks, thighs, and arms as well.

Similar to abdominal treatments, Emsculpt for the buttocks is an excellent option for patients looking to tone, smooth, and add lift to their butt. As electromagnetic waves are directed at the buttocks, fat cells are sent into a state of apoptosis, which allows the body to naturally mark them as ineffective and ultimately clear them out and make way for increased muscle definition and tone. Can’t decide which area you want to treat first? We often have patients schedule simultaneous sessions for multiple areas, such as their abdomen and their buttocks, so that they can get both treated on the same day!

2 – Dubbed the “Lunchtime Procedure”, there’s no downtime.

Ironically, while the world is staying at home as much as possible, we recognize that our patients have a more hectic schedule than ever before. Finding balance is more difficult than in the past, which is another reason 2020 is the perfect time for EmSculpt sessions – there’s no downtime! After you’ve put together a plan for your sessions, the treatment is extremely simple; arrive, sign in, complete a 30-minute treatment, and you’re out the door and on your way. It’s very likely you’ll feel soreness afterward (again – 20,000 sit-ups!), but you’ll be able to continue through your day as needed. This quick and efficient solution to toning the abdomen is a great solution for those busy individuals who are looking for the benefits of the gym without the time spent there.  Patients using EmSculpt on the abdomen often do so for the added bonus of a treatment that allows them to leave the office and return to the activities of daily life without a required recovery period.

3 – EmSculpt provides rapid results.

While you won’t walk out of your first session with an 8-pack, EmSculpt results can be seen significantly more quickly than many other procedures (and more importantly, quicker than more invasive procedures). Physicians typically recommend that patients who decide to use EmSculpt to tone and sculpt their body do so over a course of between 2 and 4 sessions, that fall within 2 to 3 days of each other to achieve optimal results. Many patients report feeling more toned after their first session, however, dramatic and visible results are generally seen in the 2-4 weeks following a session as fat cells continue to disappear, and muscles continue to tone up. Patients looking for long-term results after undergoing EmSculpt will find that their toned and sculpted physique is likely to remain that way with the continued commitment to diet and exercise. Many patients choose to continue regular sessions in order to improve their overall appearance for years to come.

4 – EmSculpt may reverse parts of the aging process.

For those of us who are 40+ years old, we know that our body goes through certain aging processes regardless of our physical fitness, clean eating habits, and regular exercise routine. In these cases, EmSculpt has even more to offer than the rapid toning (which in itself is amazing). Over time, our body muscle atrophies through natural aging, the muscle loss is replaced with fatty tissue that can cause pitting or causing areas of the body to appear sunken. Muscles may decrease in size, our skin’s connective tissue loosens and becomes less supportive, and we experience a general “sagging” in affected areas. One common example of gravity pulling downward is the resulting crease under the buttocks elongated as time goes one. If any of these affect you, EmSculpting and the electromagnetic waves can help! The focused HIFEM waves can zero in on the affected areas, stimulating the muscles and firming up areas that may be softer than they once were.

And while we’re talking about health, middle-aged men in this category can decrease their risk of heart disease by 80%+ simply by increasing their muscle through regular exercise and adding in EmSculpt sessions.

5 – Non-invasive, safe, and pain-free.

A single session can be completed in half an hour and is an extremely comfortable experience for patients. Many patients are drawn to EmSculpt not only because it provides consistently effective results, but also because it’s highly safe. This out-patient procedure does not require a patient to book a hospital stay or run any of the risks associated with the use of general anesthesia or a long recovery period. This means there’s no bandages, no incisions, no time off work, and no bed-ridden recovery time. In fact, if you’re looking to focus on a butt lift, EmSculpt is the only non-invasive procedure in this area!

EmSculpt is administered with a hand-held device that is run over the surface of the skin for the duration of treatment. The electromagnetic waves of varying lengths and increasing intensity provide a gradual increase in muscle contraction over the course of the 30-minute period, causing the body to burn fat and increase muscle tone. It’s common for your body to continue this higher level of fat burning for several weeks after treatment, meaning you’ll continue to see results even as your last session is completed.

And if these top 5 reasons don’t convince you, there’s science to back it up! The manufacturer of the EmSculpt machine, BTL, conducted several research studies on 200 patients over the course of 7 studies, focusing on the impact of the EmSculpt procedures on their muscle tone and fat loss. Through studying their patients MRIs and CT scans, conducting before and after photos, and surveying the participants directly, they found that individuals reduced their body fat by an average of 19%, increased their muscle mass by an average of 16%, and an overwhelming 96% of all participants of this study said they were satisfied with the results (Kinney BM, 2019).

Please note: While EmSculpt is designed as a treatment option for reducing fat and toning muscle, it is important to note that it is not a solution for significant weight loss. The ideal EmSculpt candidate will be close to their ideal BMI prior to undergoing treatment of any kind and already adhere to diet and exercise on a daily basis. Similarly, EmSculpt is not an ideal solution for patients who are pregnant, have a history of seizures or heart issues, or struggle with hernias. Those who have recently undergone surgery of any type are not ideal candidates for EmSculpt.
