Freemax GEMM 80W Starter Kit Review

I have a new Starter Kit in my hands to review, the GEMM 80W from Freemax. Freemax is a company that stands out for its exceptional mesh coils claromizers and starter kits for advanced users such as the Freemax Twister 80W.

Thanks to Freemax for sending me this device free of charge.

Quality and Design

The Freemax Gemm 80W starter kit measures 131.65 mm in height (122.85 mm in its TPD version) with a diameter of 25 mm and its made of a fairly resistant zinc alloy.

Its build quality is quite good as are its finish. Quite comfortable to grab and its size and weight make it easy to carry both in your pocket and in any backpack.

The fire button is located in the upper part of the mod and its diamond shaped. At first it gives the feeling that it is a little bit hard to press but it is quite comfortable and clicky when using it.

This starter kit’s atomizers of this starter kit are to disposables so its pretty easi to change the coils. Simply unscrew the used tank and put another one in its place. These have a capacity of 4/5 ml in their standard version (2ml in the TPD version).

The Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit is available in a variety of colors including blue, black, violet, white and rainbow. The atomizers are matched with the same color of the mod.

The Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit’s mod has an internal battery of 2900 mAh with an output power of 40 to 80 watts and supports coils from 0.10 to 3.0 ohms.

By pressing the fire button three times you can set the output power. It has three different modes such as soft, normal and strong. Depending on the mode and coil installed it will fire at a different wattage.

There is a LED in the fire button that indicates the current battery level of the mod. When its green the battery is between 65% and 100%, when yellow its between 30% and 60% and finally when its red it is between 0% and 30%.

The drop in the output power is noticeable when there is little battery, as in any device, so it is advisable to recharge it when the LED is red and not completely discharge the battery.

We can charge it through the micro USB port that is just behind the fire button.

The Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit includes two GEMM disposable tanks. They are 25 millimeters diameter tanks with a capacity of 4 or 5 ml (2 in their TPD version). Made of food grade PCTG plastic and designed to be used and disposed of when they stop working properly.

They have a small silicone stopper right in the top of the tank.Open it to refill the tank and when closed it will be completely leak proof. Even after several days with the tank filled I didnt see a single drop leaking.

Two tanks with two different coils are included in the kit, the 0.15 ohm G1 single mesh coil and the 0.2 ohm G2 double mesh coil.

The Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit is a flavor machine with any of its coils and in any power configuration although, personally, as I liked it the most it was in the normal power output.

Besides those included in the kit, Freemax offers a wide variety of coils to choose the one that best suits your vaping style.

You can buy the Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit for less than $ 30 at Sourcemore if you click on the affiliate link at the end of this review.

It is very good price for a device with these specs and performance.

The Freemax GEMM 80W starter kit is a good device for both novice and experienced vapers. It has a very good performance and flavor and with the great coils diversity that Freemax offers it can adapts to the vaping style of everyone.
