The Difference between Health and Wellness
Both physically and mentally, being healthy refers to being disease free. Some of the ways to that health coaches prescribes include exercising, eating nutritious food, avoiding foods that cause disease, maintaining normal blood pressure, reducing our body fat, maintaining proper weight, getting sufficient sleep every day, not smoking, avoiding harmful substances like drugs, limiting alcohol intake, etc.
On the other hand wellness, is more all-encompassing. It involves various factors of physical, emotional and intellectual. It includes physical health, but it also improves our wellness this is so much more than that.
There is something like a perfect health but the same cannot be said of wellness. It cannot be measured like one can do with regard to health.
Let us look at some aspects of wellness.
Being healthy means that your body and mind are free of disease as we pointed out. By doing regular exercise that is best fit to your body, eating healthy food, weight control, eating the right kinds of food suited to you, keeping all the vital parameters in proper control, limiting consumption of foods and beverages which are bad for health, all contribute towards being healthy and strong life. It is one of the components of wellness.

The main component of wellness is our emotions. Being happy, mindful, positive, optimistic, content, free of stress, forgiving resulting in a sense of calm and peace within. We are not experiencing real wellness when the emotional aspect of our lives is out of sync. People who are not emotionally well are co-dependent, miserable, stressed, always wanting, pessimistic, and resentful.
