What is Reverse Abdominal Breathing?

It is a type of breathing that involves the abdomen constricting and exhaling as the belly or abdominal muscles relax. This breathing exercise requires a sense of control because it is the opposite of what the body does when we are breathing naturally.

What are the benefits of Reverse Abdominal Breathing?

  1. Strengthens the immune system
  2. Helps in digestion or better functioning of the internal organs
  3. Deepens meditative state
  4. Improves energy levels by changing the pressure between the chest and the abdomen
