Do you tend to lose focus and experience poor levels of energy when things get stressful?
Breathing exercise is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. When you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax.
Our bodies use many different types of breathing throughout the day depending on our emotional and physical state.
Would you like to learn a type of breathing that can help you get back on track and feel more energized especially during stressful times?
Then watch this short video:
In this weekly special, I shared a simple breathing exercise called Reverse Abdominal Breathing.
What is Reverse Abdominal Breathing?
It is a type of breathing that involves the abdomen constricting and exhaling as the belly or abdominal muscles relax. This breathing exercise requires a sense of control because it is the opposite of what the body does when we are breathing naturally.
What are the benefits of Reverse Abdominal Breathing?
- Strengthens the immune system
- Helps in digestion or better functioning of the internal organs
- Deepens meditative state
- Improves energy levels by changing the pressure between the chest and the abdomen
If you want to learn how to practice this breathing exercise, then watch the video above.
