Life After 50, Means Becoming Stronger and More Determined Than Ever

When it comes to being Age Defiant that can encompass many things for all of us. As I have mentioned in the past, it is not pretending that you are not getting older or that you do not have some excess mileage on your frames, no it basically means that you or I will not let our ages define who we are!

When I mention and write in my blogs and e-books all about the importance of exercise, sleep , and good nutrition plays in our lives I am not saying or projecting that we will live forever, no  again, I am talking about you and me living a higher quality of life as we age than those we know who are doing nothing but complaining how tough life is.

Life will have its ups and downs and as we age we will continue to have difficulties and problems no matter what type of physical or mental condition we are in. In fact, difficulties only make us stronger individuals if we learn from them.

Being age defiant means you will not sit back any longer, and I am talking to those of us 50+ and let live run all over us like a runaway freight train while you simply sit back with the attitude that you do not have tools at your disposal any longer.

Part of being age defiant is preparing yourself for those years where we will need to be in good physical condition and more importantly become mentally tougher probably than we ever have before.

As it has been said in the past" in life you can make up for a weak body but you cannot make up for a weak mind"

You have to be prepared for mental and physical warfare that can hit you at any time in our lives as we age.

That can come disguised as financial difficulties, a death to someone in our family such as our spouse, or being told you have been diagnosed with a major illness.

To combat these type of horrific difficulties we need to be  in constant preparation mode and you and I do that by reading and absorbing good nonfiction reading material that promotes self-discipline and becoming mentally tough along with getting started in a solid functional and strength training program to help build a stronger body and jack up your mental fortitude as well.

Once you turn 50, now is the time to continue to grow and get stronger rather than weaker and let life beat you to your knees.

That should not be the lifestyle of the new retiree in the 21st century.

It's time to live life like it was meant to be lived strong, courageous and with a fire in your gut.
