10 Success Tips To Implement After 50

I have submitted my top 10 Success tips for those of us over 50 who are looking to take control of our lives and live like an age-defiant warrior. Meaning you run your own life creating your final destiny rather than life happening to you.

Being pro-active rather than re-active. Though these are common tips that can be found anywhere and can help people of all ages, time now becomes an issue after 50 and if you  have not introduced them into your life up to this point, now is a great time to start.

Nothing will help assure you a healthier, happier, more productive life then you being in charge of your own circumstances.

Tip # 1.
Simplify Your Life. Downsize and clean out the clutter both physically and mentally from your life.

Tip #2.
Visualize Your Future. See in your mind where you want to go, do and have later in life, you have to believe it before you will see it!

Tip #3.
Become Self-Disciplined. As I have said before, discipline in your life will create freedom to live it as you desire.

Tip # 4.
Become Growth Oriented. This is done by reading and practicing what you learn when it comes to becoming more self-aware and discovering what it is that would like to learn and practice in life.

Tip # 5.
Start a Strength Training Program. This is the time to add strength training to keep your physically strong, build up your bodies defenses to keep you active and growing and independent.

Tip # 6.
Make Better Food Choices. Eating healthier by adding more fruit and vegetables to your diet along with lean proteins with less fat makes you feel stronger, more energized and healthier.

Tip # 7.
Keep Yourself Hydrated. Drinking water is what your body craves, not coffee, tea or soft drinks but water. This allows your body to cleanse itself and run more efficiently in many other areas.

Tip # 8.
Set Goals. Yes a common tip however how many of us actually have written goals we are preparing to follow to reach the idea life we desire to live? We first have to clarify what we want.

Tip # 9.
Develop Mental Toughness. Now is the time where being mentally tough will help you navigate through the " golden years" you want to start developing a strong mind to take on what life will throw at you.

Tip # 10.
Learn To Embrace Change. You cannot go back to 1975 so look ahead to stay involved in life that will allow you to grow and learn new subjects and prosper instead of being left behind.

Of course there are many success tips one can learn and practice that were not mentioned here that will help keep you active and strong and living a higher quality of life as you age. As it has been said multiple times, our retirement will not be like it was in the past, we are a generation that is looking for something more I hope than sitting on a rocking chair passing time away.
