Oatmeal for Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and what a better way to start the day than with a bowl of hot steaming oatmeal. This is not one of the favorite meal for kids but its pack with loads of nutrients. Oatmeal helps to:

  • Lower cholesterol level
  • Reduce risk of high blood pressure
  • Boost  the immune system
  • Prevent weight gain
  • Reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes
  • Stabilize blood sugar
To make Oatmeal healthy,delicious and inviting for kids and adult alike, you can add nuts, fresh fruits like banana,strawberries apples to it. You can also use brown sugar or honey instead of white sugar and also you can add spices to it.

                                    Easy Oatmeal Recipe

     Cook time: 5 minutes                        Total time: 5 minutes

2 cup water
1 cup Quick Cooking oat
1 tablespoon Honey
1 Banana or any fresh fruits(diced)
Salt to taste

  • in a pot over medium heat,put 2 cups of water, 1 cup of quick cooking oat and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir it frequently and bring it to a simmer
  • After the oat thickens add any flavours of your choice(sugar,honey)
  • Remove from heat after the oats have reach your desired texture
  • Allow to cool a little and add your toppings(fruits, nuts)
  • Serve warm
