CARDIO RESPIRATORY ENDURANCE
Cardiovascular or cardio respiratory….confusion OK, I clear your doubt, Cardiovascular refers to the Heart, Blood and blood vessels and Cardio respiratory includes heart, lungs, blood and blood vessels.

In simple words, Cardio means related to the heart, those activities which can’t complete without hearts contribution. The function of the heart is to supply blood to the working muscles (voluntary & involuntary) and vital organs of the body even at the time of rest-----Circulatory system of the body.

Respiratory means related to the lungs, those activities which can’t complete without lungs contribution. The function of the lungs is to mix oxygen into the deoxygenated blood and make it oxygenated blood-----Respiratory system of the body.
Endurance means the ability of the heart, lungs and blood vessels to deliver the adequate amount of oxygen and nutrients to the cell and working muscles during prolonged physical activity without fatigue.

Reason behind tiredness of our body during any physical activity or routine work in our daily life like climbing stairs, small chase to catch bus or train or even brisk walking, in simple words the failure of coordination between heart and lungs, the failure of circulatory system of our body, in other words, the failure of demand and supply mechanism of our body and the common symptoms are gasping, sudden increase in blood pressure, headache, muscle cramps.
The best tool for improving this component of fitness is “AEROBICS”

Now, the aerobic means that activity which is done with air or in the presence of oxygen, and utilization of oxygen produces energy at a cellular level and oxygen is used to convert food (Macronutrients-Carbohydrates, Proteins, and fats) into energy necessary to conduct body functions and maintain internal equilibrium and biochemistry.
Aerobic exercises are walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, rope skipping and aerobic dancing etc...
Cardio respiratory endurance is the single most important factor among all the components of physical fitness, a person can manage with less muscular strength and flexibility in routine life but can’t work properly and efficiently without a good cardio respiratory system.
Aerobic exercise is especially important in the prevention of diseases associated with the cardio respiratory system, to understand this statement more accurately through this-more wear and tear is observed in poorly conditioned heart muscles who pump blood throughout the life of a person to keep him alive than well-conditioned heart muscles.
The benefits of the cardiovascular training are the decrease in resting heart rate because the ejection power of heart muscles for blood increases due to cardiac muscle strength like any other muscles, the heart responds to training by increase in strength and size, as heart gets stronger, the muscle can produce a more forceful contraction that causes a greater ejection of blood with each beat that is called STROKE VOLUME.
Cardiovascular exercises promote capillarization and further neo capillarization, due to this more blood and nutrition supply to the working muscles and more gaseous exchange takes place (oxygen and carbon dioxide) between cell and blood, resulting from less fatigue during prolonged exercises and faster recovery due to normalizing the condition of homeostasis.

An increase in number and size of the MITOCHONDRIA, a power house of a cell where ATP (adenosine tri phosphate) molecule a currency of energy burned easily and efficiently to produce more energy during cardiovascular exercises.A cardiovascular fit person has lower blood pressure than unfit people, therefore aerobic exercises in the treatment of hypertensive peoples.
