How to overcome life challenges

.
How would you like to develop a strong mindset that could help you in overcoming challenges with anything that comes your way?

The reality is that at some point in life, we all go through struggle. Obstacles are present in everyday life, be it a barrier that sets you back, halts your progress or derails your best laid plans. They are discouraging and cause loss of precious time and resources.

But we get to choose how we respond to it. We have the power to build an unstoppable mindset. Any successful person alive today is a testament to that infinite capacity of the human potential.

When times are hard we must rise up and take control. This takes humility, commitment, and a heart of fire.

No matter what challenges you face in life, you can always come out on top. You can defeat and prevail over any situation. Let’s look at some steps you can take in overcoming.

Never drown in self-pity.

That’s the number one rule when trying to handle a serious personal problem: never drown in self-pity. Never let the negativities get you, and never ever think that it’s the end of the world. It’s okay to feel bad and sad about the things that you cannot control but have the courage to snap out of it.

People have faced similar challenge and overcame It.

What you are facing right now is not the toughest challenge and people have faced it before. I tell myself “Those who overcame it are also human beings like me, so can I“. This mind-set is the first key to overcoming tough times. It will help to get your mind-set for the challenge you are facing.

Reflect on your past decisions and find out where it went wrong.

It’s great to be able to overcome the challenges in life but you know what’s greater? When you also get to learn the lessons from both the successes and the almost-defeats. The first thing you have to do, however, is to reassess the wrong decisions that you have made to deserve this misfortune so that these types of challenges won’t come back to haunt you.

Take a sanity break and a well-deserved self-love.

Love yourself more by taking a much-needed sanity break. Life can often be draining and coupled with obstacles, it has the potential to break you, emotionally and psychologically. Take a break, Breathe – do it now.

Avoid dwelling on your problems.

Often what wears us down most is not the actual problem, but the constant thinking about it, spending our days and nights consumed with the issue. Have a set time when you think about and update your game plan. In addition, have a set time when you express your pain, either to God, a friend, family member, therapist or in your journal. The rest of the time, try to keep your mind elsewhere.

Claim your personal power.

Some people have problems that last for years because they believe that they are helpless to solve them. But, it is their helplessness that actually prevents them from moving past the problem and finding the solution.

When you consider your own abilities, you should never concentrate on what obstacles there may be. The truth is, you can decide to do almost anything and if you truly desire it and are willing to work hard for it, you will probably make it happen. Most people have the inner power that they are unaware of. Claiming your inner power is about being bold when you need to, having the courage to take chances, and doing things you have never done before.

Befriend silence and treasure solitude.

No, you won’t solve your problems by drowning in alcohol and losing yourself in the noise of partying and fun. Sometimes, we find our answers to life’s questions by embracing silence. For in silence, we can enjoy peace and in peace, we find true wisdom.

Celebrate the small steps you take.

Don’t hesitate to celebrate your small victories even if you’re facing a much larger obstacle. It’s okay to drop your guard and just remind yourself to be happy once in a while. After that, you’ll come back better and stronger.

Live life.

You may think, “When will this problem be over with already, so I can get on with my life?” The truth is, right now, this is your life. This isthe best use of your time and how you currently fulfill your life’s purpose.

Don’t put your life on hold just because you’re struggling in one area.

Give yourself permission to be happy and enjoy life, as best you can. Throughout the day, look for reasons to smile or laugh. Having a slight smile on your face, even for no reason, can shift your mindset to a more positive one

Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Be kind to yourself and make sure that you constantly remind yourself that. Challenges are there to bring out the best and the worst in us and most of the time, people won’t be there to stay by our side especially if you fall for the latter. During those times, we can only depend on ourselves and no one else. Be a good friend and companion to you.

WAKE THE BURNING FIRE IN YOU

  • If you expect life to be easy, challenges will seem difficult. If you accept that challenges may occur, life will be easier.

  • Never give in to obstacles that lie in your path towards the achievement of your dream.

  • Don’t run from weaknesses, you will only give it strength to weaken you more.

  • A challenge only becomes an obstacle when you bow to it.” Anonymous

  • The only thing that overcome hard luck is hard work.

  • Never complain about your troubles, they are responsible for more than half of your income.

  • Obstacles can stop you temporarily, you are the only one that can stop yourself permanently.

  • It is a good rule to face difficulties at the time they arise and not allow them to increase.

Realize everyone has difficulties.

Often, we compare our lives to others, especially the airbrushed Facebook versions, and wonder, “Why can’t my life be like theirs? Why is my life so full of struggle?” But we are only seeing a small part of the overall picture. If we knew all their issues, psychological problems or family difficulties, we would prefer to keep our own strengths and blessings, even if they come with challenges.

Do what you can with where you are.

In any situation in life, you are faced with several choices about what you can do. Concentrate on doing what you can with where you are. When your life purpose is to love, you will find opportunities every day in your career or personal life where you can relate to others with love instead of fear, and find peace instead of conflict.

When looking at your goals, be brave about taking steps that you feel need to be taken.

Don’t let opportunities pass you by. You can always do something to change a situation, so it is important to know what you can do. Every goal that you make requires effort. Be passionate about your dreams and don’t let anything stop you from making them come true. When you are faced with obstacles that seem to keep you from achieving something, don’t give up. Keep trying for the goals you want to reach.

Being willing to do something when it needs to be done will make you a leader. A leader steps forward face their fears and overcome them. If you want to build up your inner power, turn away from fear and conflict, choose love and peace, know your purpose, recognize your strengths, claim your power and do what you can.

Let things go.

You don’t have to hold on to something that keeps on draining the happiness out of you. It’s that simple. The challenges that you face every day creates a lasting impact on your overall well-being but you’ll always have the choice to move on and just let them go.

Change your thoughts.

Any situation can be looked at from a positive or negative perspective. One person may feel threatened by what someone says, while another person seems unaffected. One person may be devastated by a job loss, while another sees it as a chance to do something new. It all depends on your attitude. Every situation you find yourself in can be perceived in a bad way or good way. This means what you decide what it means to you.

One way of learning to handle stress and overcome difficulties is to avoid negative thinking about any situation or any person. Gravitate toward the positive. This means you make a decision to keep positive thoughts in your mind and let go of any negative ideas. Look at the bright side. Use affirmations to remind yourself to keep thinking positive. This will help you overcome your difficulties and build up your inner power. Mental discipline is something that everyone is capable of, but it must be practiced.

Don’t make decisions when you’re angry or frustrated.

One equally important rule is to never make decisions when you’re not at your best. Aside from the challenge that you’re currently facing, decisions made out of anger and frustration can introduce more serious problems.

Identify your strengths.

We all have natural talents that we are born with. Everyone is good at something. There are many talented athletes, musicians, and actors, and brilliant professors, scientists, leaders, and achievers in every profession. Inner strength is about knowing yourself and your abilities. Take time to think about and analyze what your natural strengths and talents are. Maybe you are good at communicating and building social relationships. Or, you could be very knowledgeable about computers and better at working independently. Perhaps you have rare musical talent or artistic abilities.

Just recognizing your own personal strengths will help you to explore your abilities and discover what you are passionate about.  Many people believe in “doing what you are good at”, in order to be happy at what you do. The sooner in life you can recognize your own talents, the more successful you are probably going to be at developing them and making your dreams become reality.

Never stop trying.

Obstacles in life can be overwhelming and most of the time, persistent. However, never ever stop trying. It’s your last line of defense.

Be grateful for the Challenge.

You don’t grow when things are easy, challenges make us grow and know ourselves better. They help us to discover our hidden treasures when we don’t give up on them.
