At some point, fate throws the musician in the club Eve After Dark. The young man is inspired by the work of local DJs, and rappers’ performances. Here there was an important Dr. Dre’s meeting with his like-minded Antoine Carraby. This was the reason for the appearance of the world-famous pseudonym (Dr. Dre).

Gradually, the music of the rapper continues to evolve. With a colleague Ice Cube, the guy writes songs that belong to the label Ruthless Records. Young people decided to organize a group of rappers. Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were invited to the band of Eazy-E, Arabian Prince, MC Ren and DJ Yella. The boys attributed the music they performed to the new genre, which they called “gangsta rap.”

The next turn of fate makes Dr. Dre go into solo swimming. Cooperation with the owner of the record company Death Row Records became fruitful. In 1991, a new chapter of the rapper’s musical career began. It happened after the duo with Snoop Dogg. A year later the world heard the first solo album of Dr. Dre called “The Chronic”.

The musician used the unique style of G-funk, which quickly gained popularity in the rap environment. By 1995, relations with Death Row heated up, so the rapper leaved the company and organized the Aftermath Entertainment label.

Dre planned to develop as a rapper, but did not forget about his own label. In 1998, due to his acquaintance with the producer Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre decided to take under wing talented guy from Detroit. This guy was Eminem.

It was the time to release the second solo album. The official presentation took place in November 1999. Dr. Dre called the CD “2001”. To work on hits, the musician invited friends, including Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Xzibit. On this CD, there was a song “The next episode”.

The album sales beat records, so it became platinum 6 times. Even 5 years of forgetting did not affect the rapper’s popularity. This album contains hits, including “Forgot About Dre”, “Still D.R.E.”. 2000 turned out to be successful for the rapper. The young man was recognized as the Best Producer of the Year and was awarded the Grammy.

At that time, Dre had only two solo albums. Therefore, he planned to release a third disc called “Detox”. This record was supposed to be the end of the rapper’s career. During one of the news on MTV, Young shared information about Detox. According to Dr. Dre, this disc would be conceptual. The work on the recordings was completed, however, the world didn’t hear the hits.

All the attention of the rapper was occupied by the production of young and talented musicians. After a lot of thoughts, Dr. Dre decided to present the album to the world in 2005. However, the delay occurred again. As a result, the release date was fixed for 2009. DJ Khalil, Nottz, Bernard «Focus» Edwards Jr. participated in creating compositions for the new album.

Dr. Dre spent a lot of energy and time working with the album “Detox”. In October 2009, the rapper admitted that he had been working on this disc for 10 years. The musician postponed the release date for 2010. His friend and performer The Game said that this record would be incredible, crazy for millions of fans.

When 2010 came, rumors about the release of a new disc from Dr. Dre didn’t appear. By the end of the year, the fans of the rapper’s creativity heard the song “I Need a Doctor”. Eminem and Skylar Gray participated in the track recording. The guys filmed the video, the video was presented in February 2011.

Some time there were no news about the musician. In August 2015, the official presentation of the third disc of Dr. Dre “Compton” was held. In 2017 the rap singer unveiled the first song in two years called Gunfire. The composition was sounded in the documentary mini-TV series “The Defiant Ones “.
