Does Julia Vins Take Steroids – the History of Masculinized Russian Barbie.

Julia Vins is a Russian sportswoman who has Barbie’s face and Ken’s body (a masculinized body). She became famous in 2013 when her photos began to be discussed by many media. She is often criticized on the Internet because of her non-standard figure. However, there are people who admire Julia.

Julia Vins – key life facts

Julia Vins was born in 1996 somewhere in Russia. According to information on the Internet, the girl began to engage in powerlifting from 2012 and quickly made significant progress. The most bulked part of Julia’s body is arms (biceps). Her big biceps can be envied by any ordinary guy. It is the big arms that bring a disproportion to the body of Julia. Therefore, the girl was repeatedly subjected to social stigmatization due to her physique, which does not fit within the limits of female physiological norms. There are many haters of the girl in the Russian Internet, but many people admire the achievements of Julia.

According to her own statement, in one Russian TV show the girl is engaged in bodybuilding for self-affirmation. Julia Vins periodically gives master classes in gyms, there are a lot of videos with her participation in YouTube. In 2016, Julia Vins became an athlete of the team Primeval Labs, the American brand of prohormones and other supplements. Several years ago, Julia created her page in Instagram. As of December 2017, Julia has 670k followers. According to the girl, 90 percent of her subscribers are English-speaking people. Therefore, thanks to its unique physical form, the girl became famous all over the world.

In October 2015, famous Russian video bloggers from NEMAGIA team made a comedy video about Julia Vins. Bloggers have suggested that maybe Julia takes some drugs on the advice of her coach and does not know that these drugs are illegal steroids. Although the channel NEMAGIA is satirical and the guys ridiculed the non-standard figure of Julia Vins, in the end they wished the girl success and determination in achieving their goals. As of December 2017, the video had about 5.4 million views.

Excerpts from interview with Julia Vins

About her choice: “Like many girls, I saw in myself a huge number of shortcomings and tried to correct them. It seemed to me that I was weak-willed, so I decided that only sport would help me. When I came to the gym, I absolutely did not know how to train … Therefore, I spent almost a year in vain. But I prefer to call it a year of preparation.”

About her appearance: “As they say, many men, many minds. Fortunately, not all other people’s emotions reach me, and I only read comments on my photos on my page. Personally, I do not like too thin and too fat girls, but I do not consider it necessary to tell them about this until they themselves ask me. And I’m not at all worried about how they look and how they will look in the future. Everyone should follow, first of all, for themselves, because not all of us are as ideal as we would like.”

About her progress in training: “This question is very, very often asked. People like to blame on bad genetics and other “circumstances independent of them”. They are sure that they train hard, doing, for example, exercises with dumbbells for biceps. They do not come to the next training because they are hanging out with friends. And then it turns out that they eat less than necessary, go to bed at 3 am, and then wonder why there is no progress. To achieve success in such sports, it is necessary: really train hard and never skip training, eat right, and observe proper daily routine. If a person decides to follow this path, then he/she must be ready to sacrifice much.”

IPA 2014 Championship – the conflict in Saratov

In the spring of 2014, in Saratov (Russian Federation), there were competitions in powerlifting. During these competitions, a conflict occurred between Svetlana Smirnova (an international master of sports in powerlifting) and Julia Vins. Svetlana sprays a pepper gun in the face of Julia. Julia had an electric shocker with her but did not use it. In one of the interviews, Julia said: “Most often, insults happen only on the Internet, but one day, at the weigh-in before the competition, I was attacked by my thirty-year-old “competitor”. She started splashing on me from a pepper spray … At first, I had a severe lung spasm, ambulance doctors said that if the coach could not help me breathe and I could lose consciousness, then I most likely could have died. It was very painful, I could not wash the pepper off my face for a long time (she sprayed the pepper spray 10 centimeters from my face, although this cannot be done even for self-defense purposes). The next day I had severe poisoning and high fever, there were big problems with the skin and my eyesight deteriorated after that. But … I do not want to believe that it was just envy.”

Steroid meds that are possibly used by Julia

Does Julia Vins use steroids? Probably, yes. Maybe she has unique genetics and was able to gain an impressive muscle mass due to this. But this is very unlikely. Nevertheless, she herself denies the use of anabolic steroids. According to her, to maintain a good physique, she uses only sports nutrition (Animal Pak (Universal), may change, amino acids, riboxin, and fat burners). As we mentioned earlier, Julia probably uses some drugs on the advice of a trainer and she does not know about the nature of these drugs. Or maybe she takes steroids consciously and does not want to tell the truth to her fans and haters.

As you know, all anabolic steroids are harmful to women. However, there are drugs that are preferable for girls than others. These include Oxandrolone (Anavar), Methenolone (Primobolan), Oxymetholone (Anadrol), Boldenone, Testosterone propionate, and Nandrolone. Therefore, perhaps Julia uses one of these drugs or several ones.
