The First 2 Weeks

Tags: meal weigh rest
I hadn't decided to do this until this week so I missed out on writing about my first 2 weeks. The Friday before I started I decided to Weigh myself and i was shocked by what I saw on the scales i weighed in at over 27 stone!!! Instantly that put me on a downer and I soon left the gym feeling down and wondering how id let myself get so big. Then whilst I sat there I thought to myself " You can either sit and feel down about what's just happen or this can be the biggest kick up the backside you have ever needed to push yourself". I had only told the trainer how much i weighed i was embarrassed to tell anyone else. My first week went really well. I trained once a day with a mixture of weights and cardio with a circuit session at the weekend. My new diet wasn't as hard work as I was expecting, I was eating a lot more but it was more of the right things. I was having 3 meals a day and 2 snacks (mid morning and afternoon). A Meal plan for one day would be

Breakfast - Porridge with almond milk
Mid Morning - An apple
Lunch - Mushroom soup (Homemade from scratch)
Afternoon Snack - A tin of tuna mixed with half a pepper, cucumber and onion
Dinner - Aromatic salmon & a small sweet potato (The aromatic being a homemade sauce)

With the meal plan I also got recipes to make all my meals so I knew what to cook. Another huge help in all of this is an app called Myfitnesspal. As the trainer said this app has to become your best friend. You use this app to store everything you eat throughout the day, it has to be the best app I have ever downloaded. Throughout the first week I trained twice on the first day due to being rained off at work then once a day for the Rest of the week. I went into the gym with a buzz in my step, training was enjoyable, the gym is opposite to some I've been in before there was a good atmosphere and it made working out a lot easier. It came to Friday and that means weigh day!!  I went into the gym and did my session and I actually had started to feel good about myself. I stepped onto the scales and WOW I had lost 9lbs in my first week! I walked out of that gym with the biggest smile on my face.

The second week started on a Sunday morning I went into the gym deciding I wasn't going to do a circuit but I was told I had to so off I went and set it up! All I needed was a kettlebell, Medicine ball, Slam ball, Workout sand bags and Speed Ladder. 30 seconds work 30 seconds rest on 12 stations with a 2 minute rest then go again. It ruined me but I walked out feeling good. The Monday came and I had 2 weeks off work so I decided I would go to the gym twice a day doing a weights session then a cardio session or lighter session. Some nights I would even do a mini circuit with my brother. The week went really well again and then along came weigh day again. I was looking forward to this as i felt I had done really well and told myself I had lost again. I stepped on and another 8lbs off! The smile was getting bigger each week and i was loving how i was feeling.
