Niyatee Foundation observed World Health Day on 7th April every year as a social partner to achieve the goal for Good Health & Well being. The day is being observed to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization, provides us with a unique opportunity to mobilize action around a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world. The theme of 2017 'World Health Day' is 'Depression-Let's Talk'. Depression affects people of all ages, from all walks of life, in all countries. It causes mental anguish and impacts on people's ability to carry out even the simplest everyday tasks, with sometimes devastating consequences for relationships with family and friends and the ability to earn a living. At worst, depression can lead to suicide, now the second leading cause of death among youth. According to WHO's latest estimates, between 2005-2015, there has been an 18 per cent increase in people dealing with depression, that is approximately 300 million people. This year's theme Depression: Let's Talk, aims to reach out and help people battling with the disorder. This year focus is on getting more people across the world dealing with depression to come forward and seek help. Different organizations, government as well as non-government work-out in raising awareness among people towards health issues on the day by organizing awareness drives. Being health is gift of god. For this occasion Niyatee Foundation has taken a tremendous step to relax the human depression by way of adopting Acupressure and magnetic therapy training cum treatment camp at various parts of the state. Stress Management and Acupressure therapy is the method of preventing depression what Niyatee Foundation aims to aware the community.
