My journey working with a Holistic Health team continues to move forward. Yesterday I had a zoom appointment with a nurse specialist who covers pain management and mental health. Today I met with the nurse practitioner, who gave me an annual physical exam.
Although I’ve been to numerous doctors, having a holistic team who actually work together to provide care is an amazing experience. I’ve never felt like I was being heard before. I was given a few new things to do.
My new herbal treatments were explained in depth, so that I know exactly how to use them. I was told how that the D Hist could quickly replace the Zyrtec I’m using. I love how they are trying to substitute Natural Treatments for a few of my drugs.
We discussed vaccines for pneumonia and shingles. We discussed Osteo Strong, which is a bone building program that I might try after the Covid risk is much lower. I’m also interested in the ozone treatment.
I’ve never been one to put much faith in natural treatments. It was just a subject I didn’t want to discuss when Hubby would suggest it. I guess that I had come to the end of my rope expecting more drugs to fix me, or make me feel better.
The more drugs I’m given, the more drugged I feel. Feeling like a zombie from the drug side-effects is a hard way to live. I may never get any better than I am now, but if I can put fewer chemicals into my body that could be a good thing.
Anyway, I’m going to give holistic health treatments a try. I don’t have much to lose. My next appointment is to meet with the nutritionist. Changing my diet will be a big step for me. This will be a strict diet and I’ll need to stick to it.
Have you tried any natural treatments? Have you seen any improvement with alternative therapies? I hope and pray that we all can feel better and live less painful lives.
