Benefits of Chandanasava

The medicine acts on our Kidneys, Bladder, and Urinary Tract. It's significantly beneficial in cases of Pitta symptoms such as Burning Sensation while passing Urine, Foul Smell and Unwanted heat sensation in our body

1. Urinary tract infection and Pyuria

It serves antibacterial property which is effective against many types of Bacterial infections. In UTI, it may limit the progress of certain diseases. Hence, it may have a Bacteriostatic action. It is said that it gives great result when consumed with Chandana Vati, Chandraprabha Vati, Vanga Bhasma and Guluchyadi Kashaya

2. Kidney Stones

As Chandansav is effective for Kidney Stones which occurs due to excess Pitta in our Body. This is more likely to be Uric Acid stones. In cases of such stones, it must be given with Hajrul Bhasma, Gokshurdi Guggul, and Chandraprabha Vati

3. Kidney Failure

Chandanasava along with the medicine, Chandraprabha Vati as well as Avipattikar churn reduces the creatinine, urea, and uric acid levels. This combination prevents the progress of the disease for a few years. The medicine or its combination is considered more suitable in case the patient carries Pitta symptoms like Heat sensation, Burning sensation while passing urine. In case the person has some pain in the abdomen or some tenderness in the area, the Avipattikar churn must not be had.

4. Pyospermia

The medicine when taken with Raupya Bhasma, Triphala and Chandraprabha Vati gives an excellent result where the patient is treated for Pyospermia. It helps to reduce pus and also increase Fertility in Men.

Dosage and administration

Adequated Dosage for the medicine is given below:

For Children up to 5 years old, it is 5 ml to 10 ml

For adults, the dosage is 10 ml to 20 ml

The Maximum Dosage per day is 60 ml and must be had in divided doses.

Time to take the medicine is immediately after having some food

Side effects of Chandanasava

There are no effects reported in general

It should not be had while being pregnant

The quantity must be had under physicians guidance

Precaution

People suffering from Diabetes must check their sugar levels on a daily basis, as Chandanasava contains some Sugar

It is safe when children are older than 7 years.

It is 10 years from the date of production.

Storage
