Chicken & Rice Guys Restaurants Open Again After Passing Inspection; Trucks Remain Off The Road

A local group of food trucks and brick-and-mortar restaurants that shut down earlier this month after an outbreak of E. coli is back in business on the restaurant side, though the trucks are not yet up and running.

According to a Facebook post, Chicken & Rice Guys has passed inspection and its brick-and-mortars in Boston's Downtown Crossing, Allston, and Medford are now open once again. The post says that the trucks are still off the road--with no exact date for their reopening--and while the original post does not mention that the Bedford Street shop in downtown Boston has opened, it appears that it is indeed open as well. [Ed note: Opening confirmed.]

A couple of weeks ago, all of the Chicken & Rice Guys restaurants and food trucks were shut down after an outbreak of E. coli sickened approximately 15 people.
