Hollywood A-lister Jessica Chastain has listed her Lower Manhattan Pad on the market.

The Oscar-nominated actress first bought the apartment back in 2012 for $1.2 million. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom pad sits near the top of a co-op complex located in the middle of Soho, Noho and Greenwich Village – which, for non-Manhattanites, means it’s very trendy.

The apartment boasts 10.5-Foot Ceilings and open-plan living spaces to give the place air, as well as show off its herringbone-patterned hardwood floors. A custom-fitted kitchen slots in next to a dedicated dining area, but the star of the show is a corkscrew staircase that twists up into a skylit landing – and the bedrooms, including one with breathtaking city views. Even the shared bathroom offers a sparkling chandelier, not to mention heated marble floor tiles – a piece of interior design that oozes with subtle glamour.

Chastain, though, has moved on from the apartment, having recently snapped up a pad in the Midtown Osbourne building for $5.1 million with her partner, Count Gian Luca Passi de Presposulo. How much to live the downtown celebrity life? You can rent the place out – furnished – for almost $8,000 per month, or buy the whole place for $1.8 million.

Gael Monfils nets Miami penthouse

It may be some time until Wimbledon serves up its annual fortnight of tennis, but Gael Monfils is already serving up some excitement off the court. The French tennis pro has netted himself a Miami penthouse at the Paraiso complex in East Edgewater. The three=bed penthouse is in the third tower to be built at the 10-acre development and will be completed in 2018.

The units boast 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and wrap-around terraces with equally panoramic views – and, of course, a tennis club, five lighted tennis courts and a pro shop.

Carmen Electra splashes out on new Hollywood home

Carmen Electra has splashed out on a new Hollywood Hills home. The 3,852-square-foot property is suitably glitzy, with its dark hardwood floors, a grey fireplace mantle that stretches to the ceiling and a scene-stealing transparent wine cooler in the kitchen, not to mention the obligatory waterfall out back.

The singer, actress and model bought the five-bedroom home for $2.1 million with her husband, musician Rob Patterson.
