Vecee Picco Disposable Vapes Review – A Pressing Matter

Today I’m taking a look at the Vecee Picco Disposable vapes.

If you’re into your disposable vapes you may have read of my exploits with the Vecee Luke. It’s not quite the pick up and play, convenient vape I was expecting.

More on that shortly.

Vecee are a subsidiary brand of Yocan Technology Co. Manufacturers and exporters from the Shenzhen area of China since 2013. Their goal is to ‘maximize the ease of use of disposable E-cigs’.

Not entirely sure if I can go along with that and even the official website FAQ states all their vapes adopt a draw activation mechanism. All you have to do is open the package and take a hit.

So as far as the Luke and Picco are concerned I’d suggest that info gets updated.

Have I piqued your curiosity levels yet?

What Can We Expect From the Vecee Picco Disposable vapes?

The Vecee Picco shares the same specifications as the Vecee Luke disposable.

It’s TPD compliant with 2ml of E-liquid and has a 20mg salt nicotine strength. This strength, coupled with a much smoother inhale will be ideal for any transitioning vaper.

The vertical MTL (mouth to lung) mesh coil is powered by an integrated 400mAh battery designed to last for anything up to 600 puffs.

Whereas the Vecee Luke was a blocky, squared off looking device the Picco carries a more classic, tubular design common of many disposables currently on the market.

I particularly like the colour gradient employed, used to represent the associated flavours within.

On the subject of flavours there are 10 to choose from ranging from sweet, fruits and dessert types. Expect the obligatory side order of Menthol too.

The double sided juice viewing window is perfectly clear and reminiscent of many a simple starter pen device. I almost feel the disposable is either a gateway into using those or a way of distancing the newer vaper. The jury’s out on that one, for now.

Ok, let’s move onto the tech it shares with its sibling the Luke.

It’s known as JLS – short for “Juice Locking System”.

I went over this in the Vecee Luke disposable review. That one used a twist to open mechanism. It’s slightly different with the Picco so I’m going to break it down into simple steps.

How to Use the Vecee Picco Disposable Vape

  • Remove the device from the packaging and vacuum sealed bag
  • Lift the silicone bung from the mouthpiece and sticker from the base
  • Remove the juice locking ring located at the base of the mouthpiece
E-liquid locking ring on the Picco mouthpiece
  • Press the mouthpiece down as far as it will go
  • Let the juice flood into the cotton and coil

When you purchase the Picco the locking ring holds the mouthpiece in the closed position. You won’t be able to vape.

Important: This means E-liquid won’t have had any contact with the cotton or coil. Pressing down on the mouthpiece opens the flood gates, allowing the juice to do its job.

At this stage I would advise waiting 5 minutes before taking your first auto drawn vape.

Failure to carry out the above steps will lead to a dry hit. This is not a fault with the product.

A massive thanks to Vecee for sending these over for the purposes of review. It’s very much appreciated.

Right, let’s get into flavour testing. I couldn’t find any descriptions so I’m going in blind folded. Use my thoughts as a rough guide as to what to expect from them.

Arctic Watermelon

I Say:

This is a very pleasant take on a Watermelon vape. I know there are various types out there but my simple taste buds tend to associate with maybe one or two.

Arctic Watermelon has the edge on most in terms of flavour output. That’s because it’s not sickly sweet and neither is it particularly artificial tasting.

There’s more to the sweetness of the fruit than any bitterness commonly associated. This helps to create a more juicy, well rounded vape.

Sure, there’s also a healthy dose of sourness driving through the centre of the exhale but combined with the arctic blast of Menthol this is a flavour profile that more than lives up to its title.

That cooling blast doesn’t cut the back of the throat either which is just another plus point to an already delightful vape.

Berri Lichi Chill

I Say:

There’s just no getting away from it. Lychee always reminds me of a powder coated Turkish Delight. That’s the way my taste buds translate the fruit.

However it’s not as focussed in this one and being combined with other agents, that’s probably no great surprise.

But just what those other agents are I couldn’t really say. There’s definitely a blending going on but all vape roads tend to lead to a sweetening during the exhale more than anything else.

Possibly Blueberry? A touch of Strawberry. If they are indeed included they’re very muted and subtle. There’s not much hinted at on the after taste either.

Mmm. I’m not entirely convinced by the overall effect and Berri Lichi Chill does feel somewhat incomplete.

Again the Menthol properties are spot on in terms of balance with the rest of the vape experience.

Mystery Bubblegum

I Say:

I get a very sweet, fruity aroma when I break this bad boy free of the vacuum sealed bag.

On the first few mouth to lung vapes I get a strong Lemon pulling through which then combines with a fresh, zingy Orange.

It’s when I start taking longer inhales that the Bubblegum starts to really shine.

It’s at the very heart of this vape and providing a distinct candy like edge. Very realistic, actually and just like the real thing. I’m not sure if that’s where most of the sweetness lies though and be aware there’s plenty in Mystery Bubblegum.

Another thing to take note of is the Menthol. This time it’s very harsh and cutting on the throat. On an intensity scale of 1-10 it ranks a 9.2 in my opinion.

So unfortunately that does take away some of the enjoyment of the fruits for me. The sweetener could do with toning down a notch or too as well.

Strawnana Pudding

I Say:

The level of sweetness is off the scale with Strawnana Pudding. It hits and it hits hard on the inhale, completely surrounding the vape experience on the way out. You’re going to need a sweet tooth to fully appreciate it.

Yet it’s still a finely balanced flavour experience. The Strawberry and Banana work hand in hand so the blending has been applied successfully in my opinion.

There’s also some depth or dimension to the vape – a richness you would associate with pudding so full kudos to Vecee for pulling that one off. Not an easy task.

This is a taste that could’ve done without the Menthol. Ok, it’s not too intense but still diverts enough attention to remove some of the enjoyment of the vape.

I guess you can’t have everything..

Tropical Breeze

I Say:

If ever you would welcome the addition of Menthol it’s going to be in a flavour profile such as this.

It complements the fruits perfectly in Tropical Breeze. Not only that but the fusion of Pineapple and Grapefruit is on point.

The inhale isn’t filled with sweetener either and seems to blend better on the exhale. This could easily have been to sickening levels but thankfully it gives these exotic fruits enough room to develop.

The intensity to the flavour has been pitched just right. Each puff is as good as the last and nothing dries out during the exhale.

This leaves you with a cool, refreshing and tasty vaping experience.

A great one to have with you on those long hot Summer days.

Vanilla Fizzle

I Say:

I was a bit intrigued as to the flavour of this one until I saw the image back drop.

Vanilla refers to the Cola content and the fizz is what you’d expect from this popular drinks vape.

I’m not usually the biggest fan of Cola inspired vapes and that’s because they’re usually very syrup heavy. The fizz is never quite there so I’m left with a rather flat version of the beverage.

That’s not actually the case with Vanilla Fizzle. I’m actually gobsmacked because the sherbet like fizziness is included and felt quite acutely.

It works very effectively with the Menthol content and as a consequence replicates the experience of a cold can of Cola quite nicely.

Does it do enough to change my mind about this flavour profile. Almost. The drinks vape category has never been very high on my preferred list anyway.

But if they’re your bag it would be a travesty not to give Vanilla Fizzle a try.

I like the alternate take on the name too.

Battery Life and Number of Puffs

The Picco works just as well as the Luke. It lasted for 7.5 hours during which time I had a few cheeky restrictive lung tugs. Taking that in to account and the extra draw time, it lives up to its 600 puffs claim.

What’s more the balance of battery life to juice capacity has been perfectly honed. Ok, if I really had to scrutinise there were maybe one or two drops of E-liquid left inside.

Unless you tip the disposable upside down and wait thirty seconds you’d never know. That’s just part of my job as a reviewer.

So flavour consistency holds true right up to that last puff and you won’t get any dry hits as the battery fails.

The Blue LED on the base will flash 10 times when it’s time to responsibly dispose of the device.

Final Review Verdict

I know Vecee suggest closing the mouthpiece when not in use. That’s not going to be an easy task for anyone with dexterity issues. You’re going to need plenty of grip to prevent fingers from slipping when attempting to lift it.

Personally, I’ve had no issues in the past with disposables leaking. If that’s the case for you, you may as well leave the Picco open throughout its limited life span.

Just remember to keep it stood in a vertical position to be on the safe side.

There’s certainly nothing wrong with the freshness of the flavours. I don’t believe them to be any better than other disposable vapes other than to mention they are a bit more refined.

The hits are very consistent and performance is great throughout the life span of the device.

As a mouth to lung vape the Vecee Picco is up there with the best. The restriction is just right – not too tight and always comfortable on the inhale.

Vapour production is very stealth like and satisfying.
