Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle bells – sorry – I’m in the festive spirit with the release of the Elfbar 600 Lux disposable vapes Christmas Edition.

It’s a double celebration this year for Elfbar. They’ve just won the “Best Disposable Vape” category in our Ecigclick Awards 2022!

But Christmas isn’t the only time these particular Elves are busy!

They’ve kept me on my toes with plenty of disposable reviews, including their original ElfBar 600, MC6000 Shisha and the awesome ELFA Pod kit.

Maybe the boss, Jonny, is a secret Elf? He knows I like to be kept busy in between chain vaping!

What Can We Expect From the ElfBar 600 Lux Christmas Edition Disposable vapes?

Six festive flavours all designed to lift the vaping spirit this Christmas. And I have to be honest, they all sound festively fantastic!

.. Am I using the F word too much?

ElfBar have returned to their origins with the shape and size of the Christmas Edition disposables. I’d say it’s pretty much their signature design – the one most known and enjoyed for pocket friendliness and convenience.

Everyone gets in on the vape action too since they’re fully TPD compliant.

We get 2ml of 20mg strength salt nicotine inside each one – there are no other strength options and the E-liquid ratio is the usual 50VG/50PG.

The 550mAh integrated battery is designed to last anything up to 600 puffs and auto draw is once again the order of the day.

If you’re considering making the switch across from cigarettes to vaping it’s useful to know that one ElfBar disposable is the equivalent of one pack.

Once the disposable has run out of juice, (either battery or liquid) it’s time to dispose of it. Do this responsibly, please.

So there are six seasonal flavours to pick from. Hazel Toffee, Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Brownie Cookies, Honey Apple, Ginger Man and Cinnamon Orange.

Cinnamon Orange

ElfBar Says:

A festive favourite Orange, atop a warm and spicy base of Cinnamon.

I Say:

The Orange comes through very strongly. It’s not as natural tasting as I’d like though and does remind me of the synthetic, powdered type oft found in vending machine squash.

So it’s relatively artificial in output, lacking any juiciness and citrus qualities. And it combined with what can be best described as a few aniseed back notes.

That’s the impression I get. Instead of what ElfBar are describing as Cinnamon. The overall flavour is quite rich but as much as I’d like just a tad of warmth that’s simply not going to happen.

The Menthol content takes care of that. It’s quite over powering both on the inhale and throughout the vape.

Cinnamon Orange is ok, but doesn’t quite live up to my expectations. It’s lacking in authenticity and the spicier notes are definitely absent.

Ginger Man

ElfBar Says:

A classic Christmas stocking filler, combining the soft baked goodness of Cinnamon, Nutmeg and sweet buttery Biscuit.

I Say:

I can actually smell the aroma of Gingerbread when I crack this one open so that bodes well.

The Gingerbread has a comforting richness which is something quite unique in terms of a disposable.

The Nutmeg definitely pulls through on the exhale and there’s a faint buttery back note running in the back ground.

I would have to say the presence of any Cinnamon is very low key. What little there is picked up by the taste buds much later on in the vape. It should’ve been more prevalent if I’m honest.

It’s also a shame that Menthol has been included too. The Gingerbread, the bakery elements would’ve had more room to groove by its exclusion.

So I just don’t understand how a taste usually associated with warmth can be successfully mixed with ice.

Battery Life and Number of Puffs

I managed 8.5 hours continuous use from the disposables. Using my own unique vaping calculator that weighs in at just over 600 puffs. I’m certainly not arguing with that, since most disposables tend to under perform.

But I must also mention that towards the end of the battery’s lifespan some of the flavour was becoming quite muted. At times it tasted a bit funky and dry tasting which did ruin the enjoyment.

So it does seem the battery is out lasting the E-liquid on this occasion.

Otherwise flavour consistency was quite impressive and held up well the majority of the time.

Final Review Verdict

The two flavours of the Elfbar Lux 600 Christmas Editions I tried were ok but nothing outstanding. In other words I was expecting or hoping for better. ElfBar clearly have their own interpretation of Cinnamon which doesn’t quite match in with mine.

It’s a shame I was given the powdered, artificial rendition of Orange. It was drier and lacked the juicy citrus qualities of a freshly squeezed version.

The bakery elements with Ginger Man were on point but again I don’t see the need for Menthol or a cold blast when it comes to this particular vaping category. It always cancels out the main ingredients in my opinion.

But I’m still intrigued by the other four flavours. I may just have to nip out and pick them up.
