Vampire Vape Bar Salts E-Liquid Range Review – When Disposables Meet Starter Kits

Today I’m taking a look at the Vampire Vape Bar Salts range of E-Liquids.

Practically everyone on the vaping scene will have heard of Vampire Vape. They’ve won countless awards over the years including for best Mint and best Dessert based E-liquids.

Heisenberg is a name that’s forever linked with this UK based manufacturer and seven years on its still winning awards for best Menthol. (Runner up here at Ecigclick 2021).

Over the last decade their range of flavours has steadily increased from 12 to 54 as Vampire Vape continue to think outside the box, creating recipes to suit current trends.

Well current trends means disposable vapes to a large extent. So that’s why their most popular flavours were included in a collaboration with GEEKBAR.

But not everyone’s enamoured by the idea of disposables and that’s been enough to spark another trend.

The flavour of disposables in a bottle – for use with vape pens and starter kits.

Thank you to Vape Club for sending these over for review!

The Vampire Vape Nic Salt range of E-liquids caters to this audience and now so does the new Bar Salts range.

Let’s have a nose, shall we?

What Can We Expect From the Vampire Vape Bar Salts Range?

Let’s face it – why should disposable vapes rule the roost when it comes to convenience?

Lower powered starter kits and pod kits using PNP (plug and play) coils do the job just as well. It’s just that they’ve never been privy to the flavour intensity often experienced from disposable vapes.

Until recently.

The Vampire Vape Bar Salts range come in 10ml bottles filled with a selection of their most popular flavours in either 10mg or 20mg salt nicotine strengths.

These strengths are ideal for the new vaper as salt nicotine lowers PH levels, providing a faster absorption rate and a much smoother throat hit when used with the appropriate lower powered vape set ups.

So if you’re considering trying these, opt for MTL (mouth to lung) starter kits such as the Innokin Endura T20-S or Vaporesso XROS 3 pod kit.

The range comes as a 50VG/50PG juice ratio so don’t expect vast plumes of cloudage but do expect more in the way of flavour intensity.

Specifications

  • 10ml bottle
  • 10mg / 20mg Nicotine strength
  • 50VG/50PG juice ratio
  • Blended for MTL vaping
  • TPD compliant
  • Made in the UK
  • Childproof cap
  • Tamper evident seal

It’s time to see if Vampire Vape have bottled the experience of a disposable vape.

Please remember that flavour is subjective. It usually comes down to the choice of kit used.

I’m using the Geekvape Wenax U pod kit with the 0.7ohm U cartridge to test the range. It’s perfectly suited to the E-liquid ratio.

Cola

VV Says:

You will love the authentic taste of the soda that you get here and it boasts the hints of Cinnamon, citrus and Vanilla that you would expect. A timeless treat, Cola will hit the spot with every puff you take!

I Say:

This is very similar to drinking straight from a can of Coke. It may just be me but I’m also convinced of a metallic taste, emulating the can itself. It’s a highly authentic rendition of the popular soft drink, put it that way.

I’m pleasantly surprised because I’m used to a lame, powdered vending machine style flavour. You know, Flat Cola without the fizz or bite.

We get all the syrupy texture. It’s been finely reproduce here and Vanilla tones run alongside, noticeable on both inhale as well as on the way out.

Faint traces of Cinnamon get left on the tongue and loiter around the taste buds, almost acting to replace the fizziness of the drink. It’s not quite re imagined here but it’s a damn fine effort nonetheless.

Expect that uplifting spiciness too as it joins forces with a bitter sweetness mid vape.

I actually enjoyed the presence of Menthol because it adds so much more to the whole experience on this occasion.

Refreshing Cola. In a vape. Plain and simple.

Grape

VV Says:

If you have been searching for fruity juice with a difference, Grape should fit the bill. It delivers the sweet and delicious taste of purple Grapes, but they are backed by hints of aniseed for cooler exhales.

I Say:

This isn’t for me. Let me get that out of the way.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of anything grape related as a vape and the Vampire Vape version does nothing to change my mind, I’m afraid.

It’s as caustic and metallic tasting as the majority of generic fodder churned out cheaply in corner shops up and down the land. Yes, it does have plenty of sweetness and that’s evident from the very first inhale but when combined with a salty, bitterness things get sickly sweet.

Fast.

It’s not mentioned in the name but – yes – you guessed it. Menthol partners with the chemically engineered fruit and amplifies the flavour still.

Grape does also have a strong candy back note so those with a sweet tooth will no doubt whole heartedly disagree with my thoughts.

This is no fault of Vampire Vape. I just don’t like a vape grape..

NRG Ice

VV Says:

If you enjoy energy drinks and particularly a certain one that allegedly gives you wings, this juice is a must-have. The blend of zingy fruits, fizz and ice really works and will always give you a lift.

I Say:

As you can imagine there’s plenty of chilling ice in this one and it’s needed to emulate the experience of the classic energy drink.

It’s one of those occasions where increased Menthol levels are therefore tolerable.

The ingredients that make up this familiar taste are all nicely enhanced. They’re not too intense either which makes for a refreshing change – literally.

Sourness levels are marginalised and Liquorice back notes help bring out the sweet candy properties on the exhale.

It has a chalky texture that’s more pronounced than many other versions I’ve tried and I like that. This rendition is a mix of sweet and beverage profiles, in my opinion.

Folks enjoy the actual drink all year round. I see no reason why this E-liquid should be any different.

Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava

VV Says:

Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava would be a great choice from the collection if you are looking for a refreshing all day vape with a tropical feel. The balanced blend of exotic fruits really works and will give you uplifting puffs that you will certainly savour.

I Say:

Whoa! Flavour intensity alert. The sensation of saturation returns again with Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava. That’s very much welcome because it gives the experience of a fresh, juicy tropical fruit drink.

It’s a bit of a Summer special in fact. The main fruit I get is Grapefruit although it’s instilled with a sourer property so no doubt I’m confusing it with Kiwi.

There’s quite a hefty portion of tartness thrown in too for good measure and works together with the sweeter element of the vape.

This is probably the most lively and invigorating flavour profile out of the ones tested thus far.

Even the raised Menthol levels play their part. It adds to the feeling of a thirst quenching drink, cooling the throat on a hot Summers day.

Pink Lemonade

VV Says:

There’s something special about a glass of Pink Lemonade and this delightful juice captures that experience perfectly. You get the sweetness, fruitiness and citrus kick that you would expect and so what’s not to like?

I Say:

What’s not to like? I find it quite pleasant tasting.

There’s plenty of Menthol on the build up during inhale but it doesn’t feature highly on my Sting-O-meter, registering around a 4. So it doesn’t impact on overall flavour quality.

It soothes the throat and helps to liven the experiences of the exhale.

Cranberry is usually used in the popular drink to give it that pink colour hue but I always attribute its acidity to the Lemon content. That’s pretty much what this one is all about.

The Cranberry merely serves to add a few tart like sub notes but they do combine well enough with the fruit.

I think what helps Pink Lemonade stand out on this occasion is the saturation level which is quite high. It makes me think of the flavoursome Summer drink even more.

This Lemon isn’t synthetic or chemical tasting either and the levels of sweetness are pitch perfect.

Definitely one of the better Pink Lemonade e-liquids I’ve tried in a while.

Strawberry Ice

VV Says:

It’s hard to beat a great fruity vape with chill and that’s exactly what you have here. Sweet Strawberry notes light up the inhale before the ice arrives on the exhale to create a refreshing feel.

I Say:

It’s an incredibly sweet vape. That’s instantly noticeable on the inhale. For once it actually eclipses the Menthol content. It’s not often I say that!

The Strawberry is quite generic, don’t expect a natural tasting fruit. That’s not the intention here. Instead it’s similar to a Skittles sweet but without the gummy qualities.

This vape is clearly designed with the mainstream vaper in mind. It’s more than accessible to anyone, come to think of it. The only downside in my opinion is the level of sweetener.

Again, since Vampire Vape have disposable vapers in mind that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

It’s also good that the Menthol isn’t overpowering. It hits the back of the throat but never obtrusively so fair play to Vampire Vape.

Final Review Verdict

Well all the flavours tested had a distinct intensity to them. So I’d say Vampire vape have succeeded in bottling the experiences of a disposable vape. That flavour quality remains right up to the moment the coil begins to dry out so consistency plays a vital role here.

Ok, not all the flavours were up my vape street and I would prefer to see more innovation when it comes to blending but it is what it is, I guess.

If it ain’t broke why try to fix it?

The Menthol was a bit strong on occasion but that’s obviously only my take. Many others will welcome the raised levels. In fairness it works well with the likes of NRG and Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava.

The 10mg salt nicotine was a smooth as the proverbial and vapour production was more than satisfactory.
