Welcome to the beginner’s guide on how to be stronger in Top War: Battle Game. Here are some tips and tricks on how to progress further into the game, increase your overall CP (Power) and how to obtain certain items.

1. Upgrade your buildings

Once you are done with the tutorial, always upgrade as many different types of buildings as possible to increase your overall CP and level. There are 2 main ways to do so.

• Upgrade through the Research Tech. (Go to ‘Build’->tap the green ‘🡡’ arrow button->tap ‘Research Tech’). (Tap the blue potion icon above the Research Center Building). You will require both Coins and tech items in order to upgrade. You can obtain tech items from the World Map or from your Inventory (Go to ‘Build’->tap the green ‘🡡’ arrow button->tap ‘Research Tech’-> tap ‘Obtain’->’Search Loot’).
• Merge at least 2 of the same type of buildings within the same level. (2 level 2 Gold Mines into 1 level 3 Gold Mine).

Upgrading each building also gives tons of EXP which helps to level up faster.

2. List of buildings

Most of the buildings can be built and unlocked once you have achieved level 20. (Build->Select a building->Place your building to an empty area->Tap the ‘✓’ button)

Barracks

This is where you can build your Land Force units (tanks) which can either defend your base and attack enemies (Increases overall CP). Tap the Barracks building->Tap the tank icon to build a tank. Tanks that are successfully built will be placed beside the barracks. You can also merge 2 tanks if they are at the same level into a higher level tank. (2 level 3 tanks into 1 level 4 tank)

The higher the Barracks level, the longer it takes to build a tank but with a stronger and higher level. You can speed up the process by tapping the Barracks building->Tap the blue ‘>>’ button->’Speed up all’ (Requires Training Speed-up items).

Garage

The Garage is where you can store your tanks, merge them, release or delete (Tap the green icon above the Garage). Tap the ‘!’ button at the top for more info.

Marine Base

This is where you can build your navy vehicles (ships) which can either defend your base and attack enemies (Increases overall CP). Tap the Marine Base building->Tap the ship icon to build a ship. Ships that are successfully built will be placed beside the Marine Base. You can also merge 2 ships if they are at the same level into a higher level ship.

The higher the Marine Base level, the longer it takes to build a ship but with a stronger and higher level. You can speed up the process by tapping the Marine Base building->Tap the blue ‘>>’ button->’Speed up all’ (Requires Training Speed-up items).

Dock

The Dock is where you can store your ships, merge them, release or delete (Tap the green icon above the Dock). Tap the ‘!’ button at the top for more info.

Air Base

This is where you can build your military aircraft (Air Force) which can either defend your base and attack enemies (Increases overall CP). Tap the Air Base building->Tap the aircraft icon to build an aircraft. Aircraft that are successfully built will be placed beside the Air Base. You can also merge 2 aircraft if they are at the same level into a higher level aircraft.

The higher the Air Base level, the longer it takes to build an aircraft but with a stronger and higher level. You can speed up the process by tapping the Air Base building->Tap the blue ‘>>’ button->’Speed up all’ (Requires Training Speed-up items).

Airport

The Airport is where you can store your aircraft, merge them, release or delete (Tap the green icon above the Airport). Tap the ‘!’ button at the top for more info.

Gold Mine

Collect Coins by tapping the Gold Mine building (Recharges Coins over time based on the Gold Mine level).

Enhancement Factory

This is where you can mine for stones, Upgrade components and EXP books every 8 hours (Tap the red crystal icon above the Enhancement Factory->’Mine for 8 hours’/’Collect’). You can also use stones to create new upgrade components + upgrade chests by tapping the ‘Build’ button at the top right.

Auto-reaper

This is where you can harvest Coins for 8 hours (Tap the magnet icon above the Auto-reaper). Collect Coins by tapping the Coin icon above the Auto-reaper. You can also watch video ads (Tap the yellow ‘Charging’ button) to harvest even more Coins.

Magic Treasure Chest

This is where you can open decoration chests for different decorations (Also can be done through your Inventory). More on that later.

War Hall

You can set up your defense formation (Heroes + military vehicles) against opponents if they choose to attack your base. Tap the blue icon above the War Hall->Tap ‘Set up garrison units’/’Advanced settings’.

Repair Factory

If your vehicle units get damaged during a battle or being attacked, you can treat them in the Repair Factory. Upgrading the Repair Factory increases its capacity. Tap the ‘!’ button at the top for more info.

Castle Decoration Center

You can decorate your Castle for bonus attributes. Most of them can only be acquired during special events.

Finance Center

This is where you can claim free supplies after a duration (Tap the ‘Clock’ icon above the Finance Center->Tap ‘Claim’).

Tax Center

This is where you can collect Tax for free Coins (Tap the icon above the Tax Center->Tap ‘Free’). The number of Coins you get for every tax depends on the level of your Gold Mine (Higher level = more Coins obtained from tax).

Mysterious Island

This is where you can choose to battle against enemies on each island for various rewards + Feat points. Feat points can be exchanged for hero shards and Vouchers at the Store.

Decorations

These decorations give additional effects if they are built on your base (Go to ‘Build’->tap the blue ‘!’ button for info). Decorations can be mainly found through Decoration Chests from the Magic Treasure Chest building. It is recommended to build as many of these as possible.

3. The Research Tech

Develop

• Speed up Training – Increases the training speed of all your vehicle units
• Land Force Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Land Forces
• Navy Force Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Navy Forces
• Air Force Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Air Forces
• Gold Mine Merge – Lvl ? Gold Mine can be merged after upgrade
• Barracks Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Barracks
• Naval Base Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Naval Bases
• Air Base Combination – Upgrade to merge Lvl ? Air Bases
• Gold Mine Construction – Lvl ? Gold Mine can be built directly after upgrade
• Barracks Construction – Upgrade to build Lvl ? Barracks directly
• Naval Base Construction – Upgrade to build Lvl ? Naval Bases directly
• Air Base Construction – Upgrade to build Lvl ? Naval Bases directly
• Extra Marching Unit – Increases the number of vehicle unit slots
• Infinite Firepower – Each level increases the whole army’s ATK by 0.5%
• Repair Workshop – Increases Repair Workshop cap by 1 at each level

Upgrade Component

This is where you can install Upgrade Components for each type of vehicle (Land Force, Navy Force, and Air Force) for the additional stat boosts. To unlock an Upgrade Component slot, tap the ‘+’ icon and tap ‘OK’. Install  Upgrade Component by tapping the ‘+’ slot icon->Select an Upgrade Component->Install. You can also merge multiple Upgrade Components to increase its level and effect (Select an Upgrade Component slot->Tap ‘Go Merge’).

More Upgrade Component slots will be unlocked once you have reached level 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40. Upgrade Components can be found mainly from Enhancement Factory and the Store.

4. How do I unlock and expand new areas in my base?

Tap any of the blocked areas and tap ‘Unlock’ (Requires Coins). Each new area will require you to defeat enemies for each stage in order to unlock. New vehicle units will be unlocked once you have completed all the stages.

5. Battle and gather resources at the World Map

You can tap the ‘World’ icon at the bottom right side of the screen to access the World Map. Here you can either send your vehicle units to gather resources or use them to battle against enemies for items (Tap ‘Search’->Select any of the options->’Search’->Select the area/enemy->’Attack’/’Gather’/’Amass’). Each of them requires Energy which can be recovered over time or purchased using Gems. You can also attack other player’s bases if you want to steal some resources from them except the ones that are protected by the Shield.

Enemy

• Mercenary Organization – Drops [Unit Combine] + [General R & D] items
• Separatist Regime – Drops [Building Merge] items
• Rebel Armed Forces – Drops [Construction Level] items

Resource Field

• Gold Mine – Drops Coins + [Construction Level] items
• Oil Field – Drops Oil + [Building Merge] items
• Farmland – Drops Rations + [General R & D] items

Warhammer

• Warhammer – Drops Tech Chests + [General R & D] items + [March Speed Up] items

6. Use your items from your Inventory

Most of the chests and other special items can only be used/opened from your Inventory (Tap the bag icon). You can also check what units, decoration buildings, hero shards/skills, and Upgrade Components you have already obtained.

7. How do I obtain Heroes?

You can obtain new Heroes at the Hero Recruitment (Tap ‘Heroes’->’Hero Recruitment’). There are two types, Standard Recruitment (Obtains Blue/Purple heroes or Blue/Purple hero shards) and Advanced Recruitment (Obtains Blue/Purple heroes or Blue/Purple hero shards). Every 24 hours, you can use the Standard Recruitment for free (up to 5 times). Here you can also obtain hero skills through the ‘Research skill’ (5 times free daily).

8. Increase your Hero Power!

There are 3 ways to upgrade your Heroes to increase their power (Tap ‘Heroes’->Select a hero) :

• Upgrade – You can level up a hero using EXP books to increase its stats. EXP books can be obtained from Events, ‘Newbie Carnival’ and Hero Recruitment.
• Ascend – If you have enough hero shards, you can ‘Ascend’ the hero to increase its stats greatly and star tier by 1. Hero shards can be obtained from Hero Recruitment, Events and Gift Packs. Universal Shards can also be used to exchange for hero shards.
• Skill – This is where you can equip hero skills for additional effects. More skill slots will be unlocked upon reaching a certain hero level. Hero skills can be obtained from the ‘Research Skill’ Tap ‘Heroes’->’Hero Recruitment’->’Research Skill’).

9. Complete the quests and events

I recommend completing the Reward Quests first (Tap ‘Function’ from the main menu->’Reward Quest’) as they give EXP + Coins. Always complete all 10 reward quests to obtain all the chest rewards. The more reward quests you complete, the more high rarity reward quests you can complete = better rewards (Tap ‘Promote’). Once done, do the Campaign Tasks, Refugee Rescue or the Warhammer Invasion for more items and chests.

Be sure to also do the Events as they give tons of rewards which will help your progress tremendously (Tap the icons at the top right from your base).

10. Join an Alliance

If you have not done so, I would suggest joining an Alliance (Guild) as soon as you can. You can unlock some of the Alliance features such as:

• Store – You can use your Alliance Points in exchange for different items such as tech items and shields.
• Tech – This is where you can donate Coins to gain Alliance Points for Alliance buffs.
• Gift – This is where you claim free gifts if an Alliance member purchased any Gift Packs.
• Help – This is where you can help send/request Coins to/from other Alliance members.
• War – If you or an alliance member launched any amass attack against the Warhammer, you or your alliance members can help them defeat it for rewards.
