5th Annual Live on the Green | South Pasadena Author Speaks at Cultural Celebration

The Armenian Story is part of the 2020 Rose Parade theme of “The Power of Hope.”

The 5th annual Live on Green Family Festival December 29, 30 and 31 will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center. The event will feature celebrity chefs, entertainment, activities and games.

One of six exhibits at Live on Green, several Armenian artists will present their works of hope and survival…a moving ANCA-WR, “Tribute of Thanks to America”, and a new version of the iWitness photographs by Ara Oshagan, Levon Parian, and Vahagn Thomasian.

Arpi Krikorian is presenting her striking creations and Sophia Gasparian’s paintings of children will be on display.  Several local authors will be available to discuss their literary works, including South Pasadena resident Kay Mouradian, Mathew Karanian, Laura Michaels Gaboudian, Rubina Peroomian and British born Victoria Butler-Sloss will discuss her book, “The Seamstress of Ourfa.”

Celebrity Armenian chef Zov Karamardian will demonstrate her culinary artistry on Sunday, December 29, at 2 p.m. The event also includes performances by the Nairi Dance Group, the Armenian Folk Trio, and Armenian music with Greg Hosharian on Dec. 30 and 31.
