Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G: A Mid-Range 5G Chipset

Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 750G, A 5G enabled chipset; the successor of Snapdragon 730G 5G chipset.

Snapdragon 750G is the chipset designed primarily for mid-range smartphones. But, Qualcomm successfully pulled it off even before 5G is available in many countries.

The new upcoming processor will come with Adreno 619 GPU, a fifth-gen Qualcomm AI engine and Qualcomm Kryo 570 octa-core CPU which will provide faster low-latency gaming, better networking, voice translation, smart camera, and video and advanced AI-based imaging experience. It will provide 20 percent better performance than the predecessor SoC 730G and that’s definitely a plus to it.

Snapdragon 750G will also provide AI-based active noise and echo cancellation, which will provide better calling and voice chat experience during mobile gameplay; beneficial for smartphone gamers. It supports Qualcomm FastConnect 6200 Subsystem, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and 5G with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X52 Modem-RF system which can deliver up to 3.7GBps download speeds on 5G and up to 1.2GBps on LTE.

The chipset also provides 4K HDR video recording, 192MP camera snapshot, and FHD+ display up to 120Hz and QHD up to 60Hz and the standard charging compatibility in SoC 750g is Quick Charge Plus 4.

Where does Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G stand?

This chipset doesn’t add much except CPU upgrade so it is cannot replace SoC 765G at all but this new processor is what we’re going to see in many upcoming smartphones and will be used for gaming and some of its features will attract audience towards it.

Xiaomi is going to be the first company to come up with Snapdragon 750G in its smartphones. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy A 42 is already spotted sporting Snapdragon 750G on Geekbench.
