Coined by Parks and Rec character Lesley Knope, played by Amy Poehler, Galentine’s is all about celebrating female friendships. In her owns words:

“Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”

Although the suggested date is 13 February to celebrate Galentine’s, the ethos of this day can be celebrated at any time. In honour of this day for ladies, Blake Lively shared a picture of her and a friend on Instagram with their high heel-wearing feet resting up on a coffee table  – this is the sort of image that represents this day. Get your best lady friends together and see what images spring to mind!

Family affair

Celebrate the love and bond of a whole family with a group photo. Spending some quality time with those nearest and dearest to you is the perfect way to celebrate love. Who deserves your love more than your best friend and ‘ride or die’ – your beloved pet. Many are coming around to the idea that you should be appreciating your loved ones every day of the year, not just February 14^th. Show how much you love them every month of the year by giving them a gift of an image that means something personal to the both of you – one for each of the twelve months. At the end of the year, you can give them a collage print of all the images together.
