In this tutorial will tell you how to fix ‘the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable‘ error while installing or uninstalling an applications on Windows 10.

How To Fix The Feature You Are Trying To Use Is On A Network Resource That Is Unavailable Error on Windows 7/8/8.1/10

Solution 1: Using Registry Editor

You can fix this issue by using Registry Editor. To do that,  you doing the following:

Note: You should create a System Restore point before does this method.

Step 1. You press Windows + R Keys and enter regedit in Run dialog box.

regedit

Step 2. When the Registry Editor appears, you go to following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products

Step 3. This is an important step, you must do step by step carefully. When expand Products registry key, you’ll see a few long randomly named sub-keys. To identify to which application this sub-key belong, you need to use ProductName (type: REG_SZ) in the right pane.

Step 4. Once found the correct sub-key for the application with wich you are having errors, you right click this sub-key then choose Delete and click OK in confirmation prompt

Note: Before deleting this sub-key, you should backup your registry file by clicking File > Export, then save as a .reg file.

Step 6. Finally, you exit the Registry Editor and re-try to install or uninstall the application and it should work.

Solution 2: Using Microsoft‘s official Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter

One of the recommended methods is to use Program Install And Uninstall Troubleshooter. You can download this troubleshooter click here now.

Step 1. Launch Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter.
Step 2. Now you check Apply repairs automatically then click Next.

Step 3. Then you need to select a problem Installing or Uninstalling (as picture below)

Step 4. Next, you select the application with which you’re facing this error and select Next, the troubleshooter will then patch registry and attempt to locate and fix errors automatically.

Tips: If the issue is installing the program, you should select Yes, try uninstall. Do same, if case is of uninstalling.

Step 5. Once completed, you exit troubleshooter. You can re-try to install or uninstall application and issue should be resolved now.
