On the cusp of the Cruz Kasich Alliance to help each other oust Trump, 'The Donald' wins big in Pennsylvania. He also took Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island. The duo of sinister senators openly discussed a strategy where they would campaign in separate states to optimize damage to Donald.
The choleric Texas Senator Cruz chose to spend his efforts in Indiana while the karate chopping Ohio Governor Kasich concentrates on Oregon and New Mexico. Neither candidate has learned that any effort to attack or mistreat Trump only makes him and his backers that much stronger.
They both know that winning five states Tuesday night was a mighty blow. If Mr. Trump wins Indiana, however, the contest is over. The mathematics of the delegate count would eliminate the Cruz Kasich alliance of any hope to stop him.
The Indiana primary will begin with Trump's delegates at 954 -- so far -- and he will need just 283 of the 502 remaining. Even if Trump lost Indiana, New Mexico, and Oregon, he is still in the driver's seat to clinch the nomination.
Blatantly declaring their partnership in collusion was a foolish paradigm of the establishment. They may have tarnished their own campaigns while boosting their foe. This unabashed kind of trickery and deceitfulness is exactly the kind of machinations that sparked the anti-establishment movement.
Also exposed was how susceptible to corruption some states primaries are constructed. In Colorado and several other states, no one is afforded the opportunity to vote for a candidate. They vote for a delegate, and oftentimes who that delegate will vote for is unknown.
The resplendent Trump has been “exposing” the GOP and RNC on their conspiracy to deny him any chance at the nomination. This latest Cruz Kasich Alliance scenario fits perfectly into his narrative. The Cruz Kasich collusion pact was a mistake, and mistakes are made in times of desperation.
In Donald's true waggish fashion, he took to Twitter to expose the collusion.
