Like I said I'm a union Stewart, and the company I work for is one of the biggest in the world. It is like in the top one hundred. I'm sure they grease the palms of politicians to be able to get away with what ever they want. You don't have to be a part of the Teamsters union to get the same pay or union representation and benefits that someone who pays there dues does in Arkansas. That is a direct result of lobbyist and how they "persuade" our local representatives to do whatever they want. A direct result of the Teamsters union is that we get paid $9.50 an hour to start for part time with medical, dental, and 401k. Unlike our rival company fed ex, that doesn't have a union, starts their employees off at $7.00 an hour, that's all, to do the same work. Our full time drivers begin a 26$ an hour their's 14$.
Republicans are anti union and anti better way of life for the working man, poor, or old. Anybody who makes under $200,000 a year for that matter. They consistantly vote down anything pro union. So stand up for yourself use your brain and vote Democrat.
I am now the only Stewart on the evening shift and I got there just in time. It is good to let those kids know that they are allowed to stand up for themselves and that they have rights. That they don't have to take a short tempered supervisor's bullshit. It is weird that most of the people on unload (morning shift) kinda know their rights, but in the after noon they no idea that they have rights or even what the hell a union does. It is a lot more laid back on the evening shift though.
Whether it is where you work, your town, your state, or your country. Know your rights. If you don't know them then you might as well not have them. You will definitely miss them when they are taken away! Once in your life read the Constitution. It will most likely have positive results and it is the basis for everything you do and every freedom you enjoy in the U.S.
