Aadhaar card, which has now become ‘Universal Identity Card’ is issued by UIDAI. Indian residents can use their Aadhaar card for different purpose such as for a new SIM, LPG gas connection or to make any payment. Aadhaar card includes your biometric information which is commonly used for the authentication.
You can easily use your aadhaar card and authenticate via biometric or OTP sent on your registered phone number. There is nothing worry about that your biometrics can be misused because you can even lock your biometrics.
To check when your aadhaar card was used for authentication these are the steps you need to know while checking it.
- Visit the UIDAI’s Aadhaar Authentication History Page. Now enter the captcha and your Aadhaar number.
- Click on “Generate OTP”. If you haven’t registered your number yet, first get it done.
- Now you will be directed to a new page, here you can make your search specific by selecting whatever option you want such as biometric, demographics etc.
- You can, in fact, select the date range- authentication requests can be seen up to six months before the current date. Now finally enter the OTP and click on ‘Submit’.
You can easily see a detailed list of date, time and type of authentication requests. But remember it won’t show what company or agency is used for the authentication purpose.
