The Chance to Press the Button to Implode Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is up for Auction with Proceeds raised going to a Youth Charity.

Bidding has already begun on the Opportunity, with a Live Auction to be held January 19th, 2021, the eve of Inauguration Day. The Implosion is scheduled for January 29th, 2021.
A Listing on Bodnar's Auction's website, titled 'Implode Trump Plaza for Charity!' reads: "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to bid on the right to push the button to implode Trump Plaza, Atlantic City, NJ. As you may or may not know, the Trump Plaza has been scheduled demolition and leveled off the boardwalk of Atlantic City. For several years it has been sitting empty and now is the time to end an era and replace it with something new. We are selling the experience to push the button to implode Trump Plaza. This will be done remotely and can be done anywhere in the world as well as close to the Plaza as we can safely get you there!"
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small said he hopes the Auction could Raise more than $1 Million. "Some of Atlantic City's iconic moments happened there, but on his way out, Donald Trump openly mocked Atlantic City, saying he made a lot of money and then got out. I wanted to use the demolition of this place to raise money for charity."
The Charity which willBbenefit is the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, which provides Support and Runs Activities for Youths and Teens.
At the time of this post, there have been Eight bids up to $2,500.
Bodnar's Auctions Listing adds: "This will be a live broadcasted sale so we hope to see you on sale day and start the year with a Bang!"
The Plaza was Opened in 1984 and shut in 2014. It has Fallen into Disrepair over that time. Officials in Atlantic City previously deemed it a "public safety hazard," with concerns falling debris could hit passers by.
