Renewable Projects Around the World:

Morocco

Here’s an aerial view of the Solar Plant of Ouarzazate, in Central Morocco. The World’s Biggest Solar Plant using Photovoltaics (PV), it takes Advantage of the Sahara Sunshine.

Sweden

The apparatus above derives Energy from the rise and fall of Ocean Waves and converts it into Electricity. The Technology, from the Swedish Company Eco Wave Power, utilizes a sophisticated system of Floats and Hydraulic Pistons.

When a Wave passes through the Machine, the Floats on the device move up and down, Compressing and Decompressing the Pistons. The Pressure from the Pumping Pistons powers a Hydraulic Motor, and its Mechanical Energy is harnessed by a Generator and turned into Electricity.

Because the Apparatus is Designed to be Attached to Coastal Structures such as Breakwaters, it has a much Lower Start-Up Cost than similar Devises used Offshore.

Currently the Apparatus is in Gibraltar and Isreal. Eco Wave Power is seeking to bring its Innovative Technology to additional Countries which are suitable for Wave Energy production Worldwide, such as: Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.S., all of which have Large Potential for the implementation of Wave Energy Technologies.

U.S.

California - Wind Turbines and Solar modules blanket the Mojave Desert in Kern County, CA. One of the Country's Densest Concentrations of Renewable Energy. The Solar and Wind Industries have grown rapidly and now Power Millions of Homes. Yet they still produces less than 10% of All Electricity in the U.S.

Iowa - The Furnaces at SSAB America's Steel Mill in Montpelier, Iowa, are Electric and by 2022, the Company says will be Heated by Renewable Energy. The Iron and Steel Industry, which usually relies on Coal, accounts for about 7% of Global CO₂ Emissions. Heavy Industry is especially heard to Wean-Off the Cheap Heat that Fossil Fuels provide.

Uzbekistan

Gulf Energy Companies are leading the way in one of the World’s Newest Markets for Renewable Energy, with Saudi and UAE Firms picking up the First Contracts to develop Solar Power Projects in Uzbekistan.

The Government of the Central Asian Republic has ambitions to develop up to 5GW of Solar Power and 3GW of Wind Power by 2030, helped by international Partners such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Last year the First significant steps were taken when the Government launched a Plan for a 100MW Plant in the Navoiy Region, in what was the Country’s First competitively tendered Solar Power Project. Uzbekenergo, the State-owned Power Utility, received Submissions from 23 Companies, which Wiebke Schloemer, IFC Regional Director for Central Asia and Europe, said at the time was Proof of “strong investor interest in Uzbekistan.”

Sample of Masdar Clean Energy Projects

On October 4th, 2019, the UAE’s Masdar Clean Energy was announced as the Winner, having Submitted a Bid priced at 2.7 U.S. cents per Kilowatt hour (kWh). That is some way off the Lowest Prices achieved in other Parts of the World, where Solar Energy can Cost well under 2 cents per kWh, but far below the Cost of Electricity Generation based on Fossil Fuels which typically falls in a range of $0.05 to $0.15 per kWh.
