The Minutes of the last Meeting were read, agreed and signed off.

Geoff thanked all who went out during the Brexit campaign. Our work made a noticeable difference, the areas in the city showed that.

All financial accounts of the Party were 100% passed by the auditors; for the 5th consecutive year and we have enough funds locally available to contest four parliamentary seats if a snap general election is called.

We recently held a social, which everyone agreed was successful and very enjoyable. It is important we keep together. Geoff asked for candidates for any potential parliamentary election. Three people put their names forward.

Discussing Brexit, Steve commented that we must leave before April 2017 when the article of the Lisbon Treaty kicks in, requiring 14 EU members to approve it. Steve also said that he will leaflet monthly.
Discussed how UKIP overtook BNP's popularity and what we can do to counter this.

Lee gave a short talk in which he explained how the BNP had done the groundwork for Brexit over the years, leading up to the ascendancy of the Government/media approved UKIP. The latter split the right-wing vote as intended, but backfired as Cameron was scared into offering a Referendum. Lee told us of his team's excellent work in Thurncourt, leading to Leicester East voting Leave. Keith Vaz is the MP there, and one of the highlights of early Friday morning, 24th June, was his shock at how his constituents had dared to vote to leave the infamous EU project. Lee ended by saying that Brexit, and our Branch's plans for the future had reinvigorated him. We agree!
