So I'm not a pessimist, but I heard on the news that a certain organization has donated a certain amount of money to the Nigerian leaders to implement one of Buhari's projects, you know, the one he said he'll give "EVERY" unemployed Nigerian the sum of five thousand naira. So if you're a Nigerian and you're unemployed, I guess you're now entitled to five thousand naira from Buhari! HOLD YOUR CONFETTI, THIS IS NOT GOOD NEWS.
First of all, in a declining economy like Nigeria's, what can the miserly amount that the government has thrown at the feet of the hungry offer them? How much is ordinary garri?, the poor man's food, how much is rice? What can that miserly amount contribute to the lives of the masses that they've already hardened? Okay, let me ask, how many of us (if any) would actually get a piece of the delicious cake they're promising to serve? The country has been dunked deep into corruption, and cannot be cleaned, no sir it can't.
I found some more intriguing online. The "BRING BACK OUR GIRLS" logo. I was surprised to discover that the logo is still existent, since the April of 2014 till date, the logo has tarried along. This is 2017 dear leaders, where is Nigeria headed? We talked of change, indeed, we've seen change, it's here, but no, we won't embrace this change, it's unfavorable.
Finally, the incompetence of the leaders stink like a day old fish that wasn't preserved. This incompetence is existing because of our poor choices as masses. How on earth did we think that a man that could not successfully acquire a school certificate would defend the stance and or interest of a people.
I am weakened by the state of nothingness Nigeria has fallen into, we have simply been pushed by corrupt, incompetent and misled leaders to a imbroglio, and only divine intervention can save us.
The nothingness of a country is to be blamed more on its inhabitants, starting from the masses, down to the rulers. Nigerians are at fault, let's fix it.
